  • No finger numbers

Many chord charts show numbering on the figures but I haven't found a way to show them in this app.
  • Best overall guitar chord app!

    By Aggro-American (Pcmac user)

It seems like I've tried them all. This one is by far the most complete, yet simplest to use of all of them. Plus, the clipboard allows a beginner to store cord diagrams for those cords they're currently learning, which is extremely convenient.
  • Pretty good

    By 007JBSA (Pcmac user)

This is the 4th chord dictionary I've tried for the iPhone. It includes an excellent variety of chords, although it omits common simple varieties, which would be useful for beginners to see. It has a straightforward & functional interface and makes very good use of the iPhone's limited screen size. I think it's got the best method for choosing the chord you want. It also loads more quickly than most of the competition, which is nice for a single chord lookup. A few shortcomings: The samples are not very good, which makes listening to the chords unpleasant. It's not too bad when playing the Notes, but the full Chord sounds harsh & distorted. When played, the chord is only played with a downstroke, and there's no option to reverse that. There's also no option to autoplay the chord when it's selected. No fingering is shown on the markers, and barre chords are not indicated clearly (the individual strings are selected instead of selecting multiple strings with a single marker). For now, I'll continue to use the app Toolkit instead of this (which is slower to launch and enter the desired chord, but has none of the other shortcomings), and hope that rubbleDev makes some improvements to the app.
  • create chords

    By idiotechnician (Pcmac user)

this is helpful app for any musician of any level. a great update would be to give the user the abilty to tap on notes to create a chord, and have the app, in turn, give it it's appropriate name. I myself would use this quite often as I am always messing with voicings and debating what the chord is actually called. it would be a great addition. just a thought...
