Install Compass app on your Windows in 4 steps below:

Download an Android emulator for PC:

Install the emulator:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.

Using Compass on PC [Windows 10/ 11]:

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "Compass"
The search will reveal the Compass app icon. Open, then click "Install".
Once Compass is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including Compass.
Now enjoy Compass on PC.

For Windows 11, check if there's a native Compass Windows app here » ». If none, follow the steps below:

To get started, Download the OpenPC software »
- Upon installation, open OpenPC app » goto "Playstore on PC" » click "Configure_Download" button. This will auto-download and install PlayStore on your computer.

To use Compass,
- Login to the PlayStore we just installed
- Search for "Compass" » then Click "Install".
- Compass will now be available on your Windows start-menu.

This app is usefull on Apple "I" devices without gps. If you know astronomy very well, this app won't help you much. But for the rest of us, it helps! I want to use it to learn how the sun moves through the sky during the year. Find a nearby place with free wifi. Have location services turned on. The location of most wifi hotspots is known. Apple uses it to find a lost iPod touch! Once the app knows your location, it can give you accurate directions! You can go hiking ten miles from the wifi hotspot and still get accurate directions from the device. Please remember the polynesions sailed the pacific ocean just by watching the sun and stars!

This is basically a "sun this app" and it does what is promises...shows you where true north is when the sun is shining. As a photographer I use it frequently to estimate when good lighting conditions might be present for other times of the day. The iPod Touch doesn't have a built-in magnetic this app so this is the best and only app that gives you an indication of direction.
I spent way too much time, several times frustrated. IT'S NOT ME.

As i don't like to read manual, hence an Apple user, I picked up this this app over a year ago. I tried it on two iPhones and an iPad. Completely useless. It does not work. In fact, it irks me to see something so useless still in the Apple Store. I wish they'd dump applications that have one star averages that outweigh 4's and 5's combined. This is junk. Although, if you're one of those guys who like to make things work that others cannot. You'll love this. It will keep you busy FOREVER.
Works great if you bother to read the directions.

To use this app, you point the iPhone at the sun. Then the this app will be correct. It's that easy! The developer should probably add some text to the main display, saying "Point iPhone at the sun" since some people don't seem to get that. I'm deducting one star for the unnecessary website buttons.
