1. The Columban Way is an ancient pilgrimage route that crosses Europe and follows the footsteps of the abbot Columbanus from Ireland, his native land, to Bobbio, home of the famous abbey he founded in the heart of the Apennines.

2. The Application "Columban Way" is a project realized by the Municipality of Bobbio with the support of the Rural Development Program 2014-2020 Measure 19 "Support for LEADER Rural Development" - Specific Action 8.1.1.b "Enhancement of itineraries and tourist trails".

3. The route runs from the Swiss border of Villa di Chiavenna, along the Sentiero del Viandante (Wayfarer's Path) to Lecco and Milan and then to Bobbio and to the cave of San Michele di Coli.
