1. Welcome to the CanadiEM Junior Learner Primer, the companion app for junior learners navigating the Emergency Department! This app is intended to introduce, supplement and/or refresh knowledge of ED case management.

2. The CanadiEM Junior Learner Primer is an effort to support junior learners (medical students and residents) interested in and rotating through Emergency Medicine.

3. As a junior learner, you will probably spend the bulk of your time with the patients in the "Fast Track" (low acuity) areas, but we have made sure to cover a variety of topics to help scaffold your success as you enter the ED.

4. CanadiEM aims to improve emergency care in Canada by building an online community of practice for healthcare practitioners and providing them with high quality, freely available educational resources.

5. We have written quick summary guides of cardinal presentations with links to free open access medical education (FOAM) resources to help you learn about emergency medicine.

6. It facilitates a self-directed review of common and critical ED cases, topics, differential diagnoses, online decision aids, online video modules, podcasts and readings.

7. All author and editor contributions are highlighted at the top of each section.
