  • This app is AMAZING!

    By trose0409 (Pcmac user)

I can’t believe one student made this app by himself, you can tell by the rating compared to other apps that this one is pretty freaking close to perfect. I also love that there is a way in the app itself to contact the creator to suggest the addition of any features you would like to request! I have looked and looked at so many apps since I got my new iPad Pro to find the perfect app that would work well with the Apple Pencil and would help me to not only create but also to organize my notes, doodles, drawings, journal entries or whatever! Then I stumbled upon this app after downloading so many others, and it’s near perfect with almost all the features I have found and wanted from all the other apps but wrapped into one…..with a beautifully designed and thought out UI that is easy to navigate and looks premium. Surprised this app is available for free for what it’s worth, other apps that don’t even come close to comparing usually either don’t have all the features you want or if they do, they have a poorly designed and cheap looking user interface. »» Truly thankful for this guy, keep on with the amazing work - your future is looking mighty bright! ✨
  • Just what I was looking for

By The 12th Reviewer (Pcmac user)

I’m used to writing with a physical pencil because when I write fast with a pen my handwriting looks bad. I was hoping to mimic using a pencil on an iPad but I’ve yet to find an app (GoodNotes and Notability only offer pens, Noteshelf was too sensitive). I liked the writing of Apple Notes, but I really didn’t like using Apple Notes to take notes for my classes. It lacked features and I didn’t like the infinite pages. I’ve been searching the App Store and finally, this app has all of the crucial features and a pencil feature that actually writes like a pencil. It’s very basic, but it works as expected and I am thankful to have found this app and will likely start using it as my main note taking app. I also have some ideas for the future…clean up/modernize UI a bit, reduce the size of the margins when you’re using lined paper, easier organization with drag and drop, open multiple windows, ability to go back out of a folder by swiping from left edge of screen, definitely the ability to import pdf from the share button in other apps, and a long-term goal…develop a Mac app too with sync :)! Thank you for this!
  • An extremely beautiful and powerful note-taking app

    By Vahid1339 (Pcmac user)

I have worked with GoodNotes for quite a few years and have also checked Notability and Noteshelf just out of curiosity. When I first saw this app, I could not believe neither that it is a free app nor that it has been written by a single student. I am sure that with a few improvements it will be the unique note-taking app for all kinds of users. Here are some features which can be added to make it completely superior to all the existing note taking apps: Adding 1- a desktop version for Mac, 2- the possibility of opening multiple documents and switching between them with tabs (as in GoodNotes 5) 3- the possibility of selecting a collection of pages not just a single page for copying, exporting, pasting, etc. 4- the possibility of separating the covers from papers in notebooks. In the current version, when you click on the + tab and add pages to a notebook, only the cover is added, not the papers. It will be nice if one chooses between different kinds of papers when adding papers to a notebook.
  • THIS is what I needed

    By BANGTANarmy2019 (Pcmac user)

I have searched far and wide for an app that has everything I need, and this is it. It’s got the pens, the highlighter writes UNDER the pen rather than over it, there are so many templates, it’s beautifully intuitive, and it’s free. I can take as many notes as I need and not worry about having to search for another app to use when I run out of space. The shape feature is also perfect for my geometry notes. Just a couple suggestions: I’d like if you could add a template similar to the weighted grid, but without the vertical lines. I’m also looking forward to being able to style the folder covers without the beta version, but I’m glad to hear that’s in testing! Edit: having tested the beta version, here’s my feedback: the images don’t work quite right. It’s said we can zoom and move them around, but it just reverts back to the original position. However, this isn’t a major concern and doesn’t detract from the app for me. I can still use all the lovely colors we’ve been offered!
