Love the game, but there’s still issues
By RRchooir (Pcmac user)
Don’t get me wrong, I really REALLY love this game. Like, I’ve spent almost 100 dollars on it so far. But while I love the game even in its current state, there are multiple issues with the game that need to be addressed in future patches. The main issue is the deck variety. As far as I know there are currently 3 decks and you have to run one off the three to do good, with slight interchangeability between the cards in each. What the decks are is besides the point because that’s not what’s important. What’s important is that there is only 3 DECKS viable for top tier players. 3. In a game where variety is the best aspect of it so many cards being virtually useless is not good and makes the game grow dull after a while. Another issue is how you HAVE to pay to win. And not just a little bit. Like I said previously, I’ve spent almost 100 dollars on this game. That wasn’t all because I’m addicted. It’s because I HAD to in order to play against high tier players and stand a chance. Despite how much I’ve payed so far, I still am only at around 6K trophies and struggling to push because of Shaman players. Devs, if you’re reading this, which I’m 99.9% sure you won’t, Nerf Shaman. Please. I can’t take it anymore. And stop charging us so much for stuff. We’re not rich snobs. Oh, and one last thing. C L A N S.

Poorly Balanced Supercell Clone
By Puzzld33333 (Pcmac user)
This game is a poorly balanced mess. The general concept and card variety is fun, but there is no meaningful balancing between cards. Many of them are inherently better than others regardless of how much you upgrade them or how you use them, and legendary cards (ones you basically have to pay for otherwise you will never unlock them) are so much better than others that you’re almost guaranteed to win if you have them and your opponent doesn’t.
The whole game is a blatant cash grab, and the prices are so much less reasonable than other comparable games. $12 for a season pass, and most timed unlock packs for legendary cards will cost you $10-$40. That’s crazy expensive for a supercell ripoff when you could get a lot more for a lot less in their games. There is a decent, fun idea underneath it all, but someone decided to overtune the pay-to-win to make it all about spending money.
I had fun playing it for the first couple days, but I’m at the point where it’s not fun, and I’m unwilling to spend money to stay competitive in such a poorly balanced game. On top of the cards being so poorly balanced (the one thing you can control as you assemble your team) there is no meaningful balancing to the “boss” enemies. Some of them are insanely disruptive and will ruin everything you put together in a match, while others do nothing. Way too much of the game comes down to chance, which adds to how frustrating the poor balancing is.

When I initially saw this game, I thought it was one of THOSE games
By Jeenslen (Pcmac user)
this app might not look too spectacular in its adds or on its store page, but it’s a game that makes smart decisions where many other games lack. It’s progression systems are very rewarding to regular players (although a little bit dépendant on watching a couple ads each time you play) but the ads are not forced upon the player which is great! The game has very unique gameplay that is extremely replayable, both for coop modes or pvp. While there are certain aspects of the game that are heavily reliant on RNG, and this can make certain matches feel totally unfair sometimes, it’s part of the challenge of balancing a game like this where the units auto target, randomly spawn in, and randomly change when merging. There are many other things I could point out about the game that I enjoy, but really I think the frequency of updates and development by the devs (for the time being at least) show that this game has much room to grow and a community of devs and players that are totally engaged and enjoying playing this app. If there was slightly less frustrating RNG I would easily give the game five stars, but as it stands almost all of the systems of combat rely on RNG, which just is not as fun to interact with as the game could be.

Please fix RNG but game is fun
By SRE2130 (Pcmac user)
This is a fun game and has a lot of potential, but I feel like it is too RNG heavy. There are SO many games I start and lose immediately because I get 6 of the same unit in a row and can’t do anything about it beside merging, but then get level 2 of the thing that I was trying to get rid of. This has also worked in my favor, but I like when the game is longer than 10 seconds. My suggestion is that in the beginning of each game, the first 5 troops deployed should be one of each in your deck so no one loses immediately. I don’t have a problem with things changing to random units when they are ranked up because that adds more strategy to it and forces you to familiarize yourself with the units you have available, but I would like to be able to always get to the point where the game is mostly in my control.
This one isn’t really something I want to see changed but I think more emotes in the future would be cool and they could be added to the shop section to use the gems on since they don’t really have all that much of a use.
That’s all :) the game is a lot of fun, I just wanted to share my thoughts on how it could be a little more enjoyable, especially to newer players.
