Software Features and Description

1. I have built a similar App called "AAccompanist" that allows you to be a "one man band" without the need of external MIDI devices (Accordion Piano or Button layout available).

2. This App works only with an external MIDI keyboard, MIDI Accordion or other chords generating MIDI devices.

3. Be sure to select the correct MIDI input channel and set the "Split point" so, that you can play the chords with the left hand and the melody with the right hand (see Options).

4. You can use MIDI Bluetooth instead of USB or other hardware devices like iRig MIDI to connect your MIDI keyboard etc.

5. CompanionP sends the MIDI events to MIDI out for an external MIDI sound module or sound App (like "SoundCanvas").

6. I tried it both via network session (Bs-1 and Sampletank) and with external hardware (Yamaha and Kurzweil) and it is spectacular.

7. The chord recognition is excellent with the split keyboard.

8. You can find more details in the App's Help (Options, Help).

9. Brilliant app! Internal sounds are for quick reference.

10. Excellent already from the first version.

11. This App can use a lot of Yamaha styles, which you can find on the web.

Install CompanionP app on your Windows in 4 steps below:

Download an Android emulator for PC:
Get either Bluestacks or the Nox App >> . We recommend Bluestacks because you can easily find solutions online if you run into problems while using it. Download Bluestacks PC software Here >> .

Install the emulator:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.

Using CompanionP on PC [Windows 10/ 11]:

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "CompanionP"
The search will reveal the CompanionP app icon. Open, then click "Install".
Once CompanionP is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including CompanionP.
Now enjoy CompanionP on PC.

For Windows 11, check if there's a native CompanionP Windows app here » ». If none, follow the steps below:

To get started, Download the OpenPC software »
- Upon installation, open OpenPC app » goto "Playstore on PC" » click "Configure_Download" button. This will auto-download and install PlayStore on your computer.

To use CompanionP,
- Login to the PlayStore we just installed
- Search for "CompanionP" » then Click "Install".
- CompanionP will now be available on your Windows start-menu.
