Euchre is a trick taking card game that's usually for up to two to seven players. It is however best to play with just 3 players, you being the 4th person. It isn't difficult to pick up or understand. Infact, it is fairly simple. You can play Euchre without necessarily fighting your other partners because it is wholly non threatening.

The typical euchre game uses a deck of 24 standard playing cards which are made up of A, K, Q, J, 9 and 10 of every 4 suits. You can also use a standard deck of 52 cards to play but in that case, the cards from 2 to 8 will be removed. The players are then dealt a 5 card hand and are expected to win three out of the 5 tricks. A card is turned up to decide trump which can be refused or accepted by each of the players. If that is refused, then another bidding round has to take place in which every player has the privilege of naming trump. That player can fix trump or with his/her partner or do so one. It's even better to play alone as it increases his scores and penalties
