  • Easy and Effective!

    By Bedie Widdocks (Pcmac user)

I hesitate to coordinate events because of the stress involved with making invitations and sending them to people's home address! Then, the thought of sending out electronic invitations to parties stresses me out even more! In my mind, I had this thought of some archaic invitation system where I had to painstakingly comb through fonts and layouts and then search out every individual person's contact information— all while being bombarded by obnoxious advertisements or enticements to upgrade to some kind of 'Pro' version. Not so with invitation makers! I have a gathering that I’m trying to plan and I think I made the invitation, picked the guest list and sent out every invitation (some to emails and some to cell phone numbers) ALL in about 40 minutes in my first try. The interface is easy, intuitive and graphically pleasing. It’s a great way to plan an event and I am 100% sold. THANK YOU for a great product! The only thing I would like to request is that for the Goodbye Party theme, the font of the title could be thicker and not in a color like yellow that is difficult to read on a bright blue background. Many invitations are going to those who are up in years, thus they need clear, thick font in order to see the invitation accurately. But really, all in all, this is great!
  • Fix those torpedoes and lengthen the game times

    By Leighlah Stroton (Pcmac user)

This is an enjoyable game with a fairly comprehensive yet simple tier based growth system. Most of the in game functionality is up to par as well however there are some glaring deficiencies. While 6 minutes may seem like an adequate amount of time in which to complete an online mobile multiplayer game, I believe that the game would be far more enjoyable and dynamic if it was extended to at least 7 minutes. I believe this to be the case because most of the ships in the game cannot traverse the length of the map very quickly at all, which means that you can very easily find yourself playing catch up in the back end of a game fairly often. Another major annoyance and demerit of the game is the ridiculously oversized torpedo hitboxes. You can be almost half a ship’s length ahead of a torpedo and it still somehow manages to detonate and damage your ship. This means that it is next to impossible to “thread the needle” and it means that you are constantly getting hit by torpedoes that are not shown to actually make contact with your ship in the game. I would give the game an additional star for each respective issue being addressed but if I had to choose one over the other. I’d definitely say it would be the torpedo hitboxes.
  • Games Too Short

    By Tenner Bernardo (Pcmac user)

I love this game, it has advanced rapidly since it started, a very good mobile adaptation of its older sibling. However, the games go by way too fast. More often than not I’ll be in the middle of a firefight and both teams still have 3-4 people left but the game times out. The games are too short to really even think strategically, which is a big part of PC WoWs, having to plan and choose your battles. Here though, if you don’t rush straight into the conflict, you may not even be able to partake in the fight. The other thing is the blueprints. They’re something that no other game has, and while trying new things is always good, I’m not in favor of the blueprints. It limits upgrading your ships to sheer luck, something other Wargaming games have not done, instead you usually choose the weapons and upgrades that best suit your fighting style. I’ve had the same ship for over a month but can’t max it out simply because I’m missing a few AA blueprints. On that same topic, the XP gain is much lower than any other wargaming game, just getting to tier V can be difficult as each battle only awards you around 200 XP. Other than those things, this game is wonderful and I still highly recommend it.
  • A few issues

    By 郑夏萍剑闻 (Pcmac user)

I played this on PC for a while and have been eagerly awaiting the release of this for a long time. The graphics and controls, while obviously not as good as PC, are really good compared to similar mobile games. Matchmaking has gotten a lot better since early release, and I can’t wait for the rest of the lines of ships to be released. That being said, one problem with the game is that the matches are simply too short. Probably six or seven in ten games for me ends by the time running out and not by a team actually winning, so if one team is up by a lot of points but only has one destroyer left or something, chances are they will still win because the round will end. I have had this happen to me on both sides of the scenario and it makes it kind of unfair so I would really appreciate it if this issue was fixed. Another problem is torpedoes. The hit boxes for ships are so big that dodging a spread of torpedoes by going in between them like you can in PC is impossible. I have had torpedoes miss me by a quarter of a ship length and I still get hit and killed. That is probably the biggest issue I have with this game. Other than that, keep up the good work, Wargaming!
