What is Pure Acid?

Pure Acid is a bassline synthesizer and drum machine app that is inspired by classic hardware bassline synthesizers and rhythm machines from the 80s. It is designed to bring back the feeling of retro analog gear in every detail in terms of sound, as well as to provide new functions previously unavailable in the original devices to make your music creation workflow fast and fun. The app comes with a large number of factory preset patterns that will immerse you into an exciting world of Acid House, Techno, Hardcore, and Big Beat music genres, which will inspire you to create your own basslines and rhythms for your compositions.

Software Features and Description

1. You can use Pure Acid app as a ready-to-go realtime musical instrument (groove box) in your jam sessions together with Ableton Link to synchronize it with the rest of your music gear.

2. You can also use Pure Acid with AudioBus, AUM or other IAA-supporting apps to create complex and interesting sound setups.

3. Its bassline editing system and randomization options will be handy to create unique groovy basslines easily.

4. Realtime master effects with XY-pad controls can add expression to your live performance.

5. • onscreen keyboard allows you to enter bassline notes in a comfortable way.

Been waiting for a technobox2/rebirth replacement forever. THIS IS IT. This app shines in song mode. Get a few patterns looping then record a live take with the MFX and drum mutes. Very similar to recording live takes with actual hardware...maybe because all the controls are on the page idk. This is an instant buy. Note to dev: 1. Thank you! 2. Anyway there could be a way to separate the bass and drum channels in AUM? Either way, thanks for the great work.

Super happy with this app. Making grooves with this app is a breeze and incredible fun. I got a lot of different grooveboxes and drummachines, but none of them are as much fun as this app. Grab this little gem and you will not regret it, that is a promise 😎👍 Already amazing as it is now, but looking forward where the developer is going to take this with future updates. Had just an amazing 2 hours ripping through this and will pop it into Cubasis 3 soon to get in even more trouble. My only request is for this to be ported over to the desktop so I can run it natively in Logic Pro! By far one of the most well executed AUv3s I’ve ever seen and I’ve been making music on iOS since 2012.

Great sound replication - most of the sound of rebirth but kind of more fun to tweak and play. Totally worth the $10 ask - so far this and every other synth this company has put out have been amazing- almost don’t even have to think when I see JimAudio made it - it’s a buy!!!
