Install Oxford Advanced Learner's Dict app on your Windows in 4 steps below:

Download an Android emulator for PC:

Install the emulator:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.

Using Ox on PC [Windows 10/ 11]:

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "Ox"
The search will reveal the Oxford Advanced Learner's Dict app icon. Open, then click "Install".
Once Ox is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including Ox.
Now enjoy Ox on PC.

To get started, Download the OpenPC software »
- Upon installation, open OpenPC app » goto "Playstore on PC" » click "Configure_Download" button. This will auto-download and install PlayStore on your computer.

- Login to the PlayStore we just installed
- Search for "Ox" » then Click "Install".

The bug of search history and suggestions for improvements

There are a few aspects that need to be improved: 1. It seems that the history function doesn’t work very well. Usually it only keeps a few items of the search history, not all of them. 2. Besides, search history also records some unnecessary words that are only partial of the intended words generated while putting in the input box. 3. Words placed under the “favorite”are automatically sorted in the alphabetic order, but I think it’s better to sort them according to the time of search history, or at least such option should be available. Overall it’s a wonderful app, and I will love it even more if you could make the above improvements. Than you!
In general I'm loving this app

In general I'm loving this app. Nice features and contents and all that. But there's several bugs, especially when I'm using this on my ipad as the side app. Sometimes searching doesn't work so I have to close it and open it again. And It kind of annoys me when it pauses my music whenever I start this app. Also history needs fixing. It often includes words I didn't look up. That said, other satisfying features make up for those. Full text search is amazing and helpful. I would've given five stars if it weren't for a few bugs.
Incompatibe with older version and web subscription

A brand new dictionary version that ditches compatibility with old version and Oxford ID web subscription, forcing us to pay twice for the app. Also, the dictionary app is now subscription-based contrary to previous version when we just need to buy it once. And ironically, the web version is free (with ads but I don’t mind), you only pay for some premium features (iSpeaker, iWriter). Why would you want us to pay for this app just for looking up the words when it clearly lacks premium features? Not to mention, we cannot change the font size of the definition, only the UI, which is a major backward compared to OALD8/9.
Can you fix iCloud problem?

I can't sync my data from iPad to iPhone so I deleted data in the iCloud. But when I want to re-sync my data, it just reminds me "iCloud syncronization is unavailable. Please check your settings". The app can't create a new iCloud data in my iCloud account. So I can't sync data in any device. Can you fix this problem in next version？I really need this function.
