Software Features and Description

1. LidarSynth is one of three digital interactives by Will Hurt, created for Buxton Museum's BM125 celebrations, in response to the landscape of the Peak Districk National Park.

2. Move your finger across the landscape, drawing a pitch and a resonance line, the speed you move your finger and the height of the landscape underneath your finger drives the synth.

3. Interact with LiDAR Data of the Peak District to create an audio soundscape, play the landscape and see what sounds you can make.

Install LidarSynth app on your Windows in 4 steps below:

Download an Android emulator for PC:
Get either Bluestacks or the Nox App >> . We recommend Bluestacks because you can easily find solutions online if you run into problems while using it. Download Bluestacks PC software Here >> .

Install the emulator:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.

Using LidarSynth on PC [Windows 10/ 11]:

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "LidarSynth"
The search will reveal the LidarSynth app icon. Open, then click "Install".
Once LidarSynth is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including LidarSynth.
Now enjoy LidarSynth on PC.
