What is EG WaveSHAPER Lite?
EG WaveSHAPER is a synthesizer app that allows users to create their own sound by drawing waveforms on the screen or shaping a built-in one. It features a hybrid waveshaping engine that combines a wavetable oscillator with a classic oscillator and a sub oscillator, allowing users to add additional sound layers and depth. The app also includes 2 LFOs and 2 Envelopes that can be assigned to virtually any of the synth parameters, as well as various effects such as reverb, delay, and EG Crush.
1. 2 wavetables can be designed and morphed to create unique and dynamic sounds under your finger, choosing the morph attack and release; complex spectra can be created waveshaping the oscillator and introducing non linear distortion, rich harmonics and a tube-vacuum behaviour.
2. The hybrid Waveshaping/Wavetable engine lets you combine a wavetable oscillator with a classic oscillator and a sub oscillator, to add additional sound layers and depth.
3. EG WaveSHAPER is the first synthesizer that lets you create your sound with a finger.
4. They can also be graphically designed with the touch of your finger or you can choose among the builtin envelopes.

- Good for creating sounds on the iPhone
- Fun to use
- Limited with only a few presets
- No control over presets
- Counterproductive compared to other free synth apps with more options and features
- Would benefit from offering a full but limited trial or full version with added in-app purchases for preset packs.
