Install BlastSim app on your Windows in 4 steps below:

Download an Android emulator for PC:
Get either Bluestacks or the Nox App >> . We recommend Bluestacks because you can easily find solutions online if you run into problems while using it. Download Bluestacks PC software Here >> .

Install the emulator:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.

Using BlastSim on PC [Windows 10/ 11]:

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "BlastSim"
The search will reveal the BlastSim app icon. Open, then click "Install".
Once BlastSim is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including BlastSim.
Now enjoy BlastSim on PC.

✔ Pros:

- Fun and interesting to use

- Provides a glimpse of how a nuclear weapon might affect a city

☹ Cons:

- Does not take into account radiation, leading to inaccurate population loss

- Limited selection of nukes

- Bugs and problems, such as crashing when pressing the folded map button and inability to target a location

- Inaccurate measurement of bombs in kilotons instead of megatons

Best I can get.

I couldn’t get the online nuke map so this was the best app I found. Can’t add in other factors such as wind or whether the blast occurs in the sky or ground. But other than that I really like it. Not a huge selection of different nukes but contains the most relevant and interesting ones from if not all most countries who design nukes.

I like using this app. It’s kind of fun to see how the future could play out. The only issue with the app is that it doesn’t take in effect the radiation. Most of the bombs would cause a lot of radiation. This leads to a not accurate population loss. An update with this feature would be nice!
Great app but just a few problems

I love this app. It’s really fun and amazing but there are a few bugs and problems I have with this app. First of all, when you try to press the folded map button on the bottom of the screen with Castle Bravo. The app crashes. Second, you can’t target a location. When you go to search it just doesn’t work. There should be a “Target” button so when you search a location you can actually target it. The search feature is also very buggy. TL;DR: Read the review. It’s very short!

This app is very interesting. It’s fun to see what effects a nuclear weapon might have on a city. Just one problem: All of the bombs are measured in Kilotons. This means that weapons like the Tsar Bomba are only 50,000 kilotons (In real life, it 50,000 Megatons, not kilotons). Still though, a very good app!
