  • Far left biased

    By MrBonce (Pcmac user)

Comedically biased in favor of American far left buzzwords, ways of framing issues, and narratives. Attempts to present topics in a balanced manner but completely misses the mark (in just one part on gun violence they say the number as in number of cases of people affected has increased but this is extremely misleading as the RATE of gun-related crime has been decreasing for a long, long time). Likewise, they misdefine "militia", use the leftist term "undocumented immigrant" (the correct legal term is ILLEGAL ALIEN), and so on. Almost every term they try to define is almost wholly within the Overton Window of leftist thought. These articles read like they were written by some low-paid junkie not even attempting to take an honest look at how these topics are framed by people that don't agree with the author's biased views. I had mediocre hopes for this app, and even then I've been massively let down.
  • Curious?

    By Tao-ish (Pcmac user)

Try this. this app presents well documented details and figures of respected data presented in a straightforward manner. The information is presented cleanly and is well scaffolded to build on understanding one part of a subject to the next. It is accompanied by easy to read, informative, visual data. I get the sense that many of the negative reviewers were coming around to the actual data on immigration (legal and illegal) and the many complex nuances of the subject that usually get lost in the noise. But this unfamiliar information doesn't fit into the the same old dog and pony of their own said "echo chamber" — and so they feel betrayed. Some of negative reviews posted here would have you believe that this app is part of some liberal conspiracy propaganda indoctrination. As a conservative on many things, even I don't believe that. That's all kinds of crazy. Like this country right now. Why don't you put on your actual critical thinking hat if you have one, conservative or liberal, and see for yourself?
  • A very good data presentation format.

    By reduxify (Pcmac user)

this app presents information about popular news items sort of like a PowerPoint presentation. It dissects the information down into facts and numbers regarding the topic in chunks that are easy to understand. Other reviewers for this app seem to think it has a “liberal” bias. This highlights how mindlessly our public has latched onto the propaganda teat. this app doesn’t present information with an editorial viewpoint. The data that is presented is simply that - numbers and statistics around a current topic. Data isn’t liberal or biased in any way. It’s simply data. And this app does a very good job at presenting it.
  • I love this app

    By ZachSox (Pcmac user)

this app is a great way to learn about the central social and political issues of our time. It’s extremely accessible to read, and we get the whole picture: history, sources (proof), fun ways to interact and learn. Also, these issues are always evolving and growing as we grow as a culture, so I really appreciate when they let us know what parts of the issue don’t have a clear answer yet. Thank you, I’m a proud subscriber now, and look forward to reading new topics as they are released.
