Two major problems
By The Florida Flash (Pcmac user)
The first is that it provides no notifications when the water has reached your desired temperature.
The other problem, which is worse, is that if between the time you activate the app and when it reaches the desired temperature and your phone has auto locked The little bell indicating it has reached temperature does not work.
If this will eventually work on the lock screen it could be very useful. Otherwise you wonder why one would purchase the EKG model.

Super basic

Does the two things they say they do well. It turns on the kettle and set the temp. Could it do more—like alert you when it’s done, or start the kettle at a set time in the morning? Yes, but it doesn’t.
Nice, but not really all that useful as is. I *really* wish they’d ditch the weird creepy melting ice cream cones.
update: Yeah, for sure this needs integration with either Apple home or the ability to add a Siri shortcut. I haven’t used this app in ages, it just not any more convenient that turning it on manually.

Lacking notifications.

A push notification when this hits temp would be really useful

Simple and straight forward.
But I would love to see the ability for this app schedule when to start a boil in the morning. I can see a concern about a pot being empty but maybe you need to set the schedule every time you want to use it. Or, does the stand sense there is no water in the pot? The App could simply override the schedule if it sensed there being no water.
