  • Best Navigation Option

    By Syder Fan (Pcmac user)

Tired of updating nav units? Me too. I tried the Syngic app through the this app app and will remove my nav unit now. Was great just being able to use the bikes onboard screen and not waste time trying and most of the time failing to about my nav unit. I have used both TomTom and Garmin and both can be a pain to update maps and software. this app has made this simple by just using your phone. Looking forward to loading ITunes with great traveling music to eliminate searching for good stations and the radio. Hope they find more compatible apps for the this app.
  • I guess I expected better

I love my Spyder. I just assume the application would be as high-quality as the bike. I think it’s a great idea but I think it has a long way to go. At 65mgh you should focus on the ride, not why the music and gps just stopped and won’t go again. I have totally uninstalled and started back at 03 different times over the last three months. At this point I’ve just decided nope. I like the big screen display, but it’s really not that great when it doesn’t work. Obviously it needs more apps, but it’s new, if they can get it working that will come. If. Maybe I’ll check back at a later date with hope. But I am going to just revert back to google maps and Bluetooth connection.
  • Expected so much more

    By karmonkey (Pcmac user)

I’m done using this app and the this app functionality. I’ve switched back to the safer, old school way - plug the phone into the trunk USB for power, set Waze, then take the directions over the Bluetooth audio. My headset can invoke Siri and do the heavy lifting. No more fumbling through options on the dash. Navigation options are too limited. Waze is a much better option than Genius Maps and Sygic. I don’t care for or need offline maps. Just accurate routes and traffic avoidance. Get a phone call? You would expect your music to continue playing after the call, right? Not always. The phone locks after the call effectively killing the app... which kills all the functionality it offers until you pull over, stop, unlock the phone and relaunch the app. the app - you can do so much better. I should be able to set it and forget it. Leverage hands free voice commands so I can stay focused on the road. I’m tired of fighting with an awful user experience. I spent a LOT of cash for the model with this app. I expect better.
  • Yuch!

No real compatibility with iPhone. Incoming calls show on screen, need a toggle off for this. Difficult if not impossible to quickly connect to pandora. I just bought this bike $30G. What a waste of technology
