★ ★ ★ World War 1914 Overview

What is World War 1914? The app is designed to provide information and education about World War I, peace and conflict studies, and pacifism. It aims to give users a better understanding of the causes and consequences of the war, as well as the importance of peace and nonviolent conflict resolution.

Game Features and Description

1. Peace and conflict studies is an academic field which identifies and analyses violent and nonviolent behaviours, as well as the structural mechanisms attending violent and non-violent social conflicts.

2. Disciplines involved may include political science, geography, economics, psychology, sociology, international relations, history, anthropology, religious studies, and gender studies, as well as a variety of other disciplines.

3. One of the deadliest conflicts in history, an estimated 9 million people were killed in combat, while over 5 million civilians died from military occupation, bombardment, hunger, and disease.

4. Referred to by contemporaries as the "Great War", its belligerents included much of Europe, the Russian Empire, the United States, and the Ottoman Empire, with fighting also expanding into the Middle East, Africa, and parts of Asia.

5. One variation, Peace studies (irenology), is an interdisciplinary effort aiming at the prevention, de-escalation, and solution of conflicts.

6. Principled pacifism holds that all forms of violent behavior are inappropriate responses to conflict, and are morally wrong.

7. This contrasts with war studies (polemology), directed at the efficient attainment of victory in conflicts.

8. Pragmatic pacifism holds that the costs of war and inter-personal violence are so substantial that better ways of resolving disputes must be found.

9. Pacifism may be based on moral principles (a deontological view) or pragmatism (a consequentialist view).

10. World War I or the First World War, often abbreviated as WWI or WW1, began on 28 July 1914 and ended on 11 November 1918.

11. This is to better understand the processes leading to a more desirable human condition.

  • Love it!!! But...

    By soupdoop (Pcmac user)

This is an amazing game but it definitely has room for improvement. Like other people said... a lot of countries are way too overpowered. I think there should be at least a little bit of a balance. And also i think it should be easier to make money. I always feel like I can never afford to upgrade my military because the upgrades cost millions of dollars. It usually takes me like an hour of playing just to reach 1 million dollars... and that’s when I’m trying hard to get trade going and not as much military production. I think there should be ways that you can sell your military boats, submarines, and tanks to other countries in exchange for more money than you paid to make them. I think it should be higher money received from the countries with the lowest technology. I also think it would be kinda cool if you could sell cities for money... for an example, if I raided a city in Spain i could sell the cities ownership to my allies for money. Just to add on some creativity I think there should be a infinite money mode. I mostly say this because when I first started I had like no idea what to do. I know there’s tutorials... but I feel like it would just be easier to learn the games basics by playing with infinite money and having fun.
  • Addicting but needs some work

    By Gman1046 (Pcmac user)

I love this game, I’ve been playing for a year and I’m hooked. There needs to be changes especially with the new event update... There needs to be an option to play as Poland... Poland is a very unique nation as it declares independence but it’d be fun to play as Poland. Also There could be an option to be China and then you could choose either to be communist China or the republic when they exist. Another thing I found out is that the Republic of China isn’t fully formed in the game, especially when japan invades it. Another thing that’d be cool is if you can make an event mode that goes up to the start of the Warsaw Pact and nato, considering that both exist as alliances in the actually game. Expanding the event mode to 1960 would be awesome and would keep players hooked onto the game. Another thing I see is that Austria controls Transylvania after the treaty of Versailles which is odd. Adding new rifle branches or tank branches is good also so the game and countries have more variety. Lastly, it’d be nice if the U.S.‘s A.I. Didn’t attack Japan until the bombing of Pearl Harbor, which would be helpful if a notification notified you that a country has declared war on you. This game has basically unlimited potential in my opinion, and can be better than most the app war sandbox games. (the Tripartite pact would be cool too)
  • Great game Could use some new things

    By pokewar1312 (Pcmac user)

Ok so I love this game for car rides and when I’m bored. But sometimes I feel like that certain nations are to weak while others are to strong or rich. Take Germany, in real life in ww1 they were powerful and walked all over Russia for most of the war. In this game I can barely make a dent in one city against Russia or France. And when I play a specific nation I’m always poor and can never research because it’s so expensive to research. But when I’m playing a different nation I see the previous nation prosper, they have like the best tanks Air Force everything, I would maybe like it if there were more events and balancing of nations. And maybe instead of just randomly getting attacked maybe there could be a thing where you can declare war on someone else, and when the war is over, you can annex their entire county, puppet them, or maybe annex part of them and puppet another part of them. I’m not saying this is required for this game, but I am just saying it will make everything a lot more realistic and easier for the player.
  • DO IT SOME BUGS

By exzavior loves tap nations (Pcmac user)

So I’m mad because theses bugs are dumb so I played as the U.S but when I had about one million soldiers in one division against 40,000 Mexican soldiers because it took Phoenix so I send my 1 million soldiers and they just all died I don’t get that I don’t understand how 1 million soldiers in about 500 tanks and 14,000 aircraft was destroyed 40,000 gunners people with guns destroyed my divisions can you like add training and and or add the future and maybe you want to play in the app War II maybe you can make a the app War II game or Germany just automatically surrenders in 1918 was it 1919 I don’t remember so Germany automatically surrenders I hope you can make that add that to the game and then the app War II starts and you have about 10 years to prepare or 20 so whenever the app War II starts and the app war and one ends that’s how much time you have to prepare this stuff may make your game greater there’s a lot of potential in this game and it’s a really good game I love the game but it’s hard to manage your economy one thing you do wrong you just lose and you automatically get zero dollars for pay each month maybe you could add things like buying the app War II for like one dollar and not be good for a the app War III
