★ ★ ★ KTM MY RIDE Navigation Overview

What is KTM MY RIDE Navigation?

The KTM MY RIDE app offers turn-by-turn navigation on the dashboard of select KTM motorcycles. It allows riders to save and load routes, use offline maps, and receive audio guidance in various languages. The app also displays incoming calls and music information on the dashboard.

Software Features and Description

1. Trips and routes can be saved and loaded for repeat use to allow for forward-planning, and an offline mode means a specific map can be downloaded and used without consuming mobile data in roaming.

2. The App transmits turn-by-turn guidance, the distance to the next navigation point, the street name and the arrival time/distance to the destination.

3. All this data appears on the dash and can be managed with the mode switch, keeping your hands where they belong: on the handlebar.

4. In addition, audio guidance in various languages and offline maps are also available.

5. KTM MY RIDE also allows incoming calls and music, displaying battery life and signal strength.

6. Simply negotiate the ‘pairing’ process to make the phone and the bike ‘talk’ to each other and the information can then be relayed.

7. Connecting a Bluetooth-enabled Smartphone means more than just co-ordinates and directions.

8. KTM dealers and the network for servicing and assistance come as custom icons on the map.

  • Great bike—bad app!

    By Flyfloats (Pcmac user)

Buy the 1290 with the TFT display because it is a wonderful bike! Save your time and money and avoid the app. Among its many flaws, fully covered by all the reviews, let me add that the app will not stay running on my iPhone X. In the app’s map mode while driving the screen goes black as per my iPhone settings. Within the app and with settings there is no way to have the screen stay lit. Other maps offer of this setting choice but not the app. As a result this app offers no value for navigating while driving the motorcycle. What a shame that such a great motorcycle company is willing to put out such a poor interface!
  • should I have known,I would have bought a Honda

    By JCSaracho (Pcmac user)

Purchased a brand new the app Duke 390. One of the main reasons was the my ride navigation- so I could leave my phone in my pocket and not have it exposed. The app has never worked, and the dealer can’t figure it out either. My phone says it’s connected, my bike says it’s connected, but the app fails to show this. As a result, I am unable to use directions when I travel. When I click app support on the apple App Store, it takes me to the app’s FAQs in their website- which is not helpful at all. I feel ripped off. If I could give this app 0 stars I would.
  • Does not show up on the dash of your ktm1290

    By moosebuilt (Pcmac user)

Thought this was the app that would enable dashboard nav prompts on my 1290 its not Starting to get a little angry with the app as this My Ride was sold to me as a lot of things that it simply cannot do. I was suppose to be able to see incoming calls and texts as well as have gps guidance. The incoming call feature went away with the first hardware update to the ecu and I have never had any call functionality or gps guidance. The KTMMYride is really only good for stereo volume and channel changes. This app does nothing to improve that.
  • Waste of money..

    By mallai (Pcmac user)

I just sent $8 to somewhere i don't know because I got nothing in return. The screen on my 390 Duke says its paired with my iPhone 8 plus but the app has no function. Nothing. Zilch. When you try and “add” your bike, the app doesn't recognize it. Since theres no support, i just sent $8 to the app for nothing in return. I love my 390 but its little things like this that will have me buying a Yamaha when i get my next bigger bike.
