Download an Android emulator for PC:

Install the emulator:

Using NextRide on PC [Windows 10/ 11]:

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "NextRide"
The search will reveal the NextRide - Singapore Journey Planner app icon. Open, then click "Install".
Once NextRide is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including NextRide.
Now enjoy NextRide on PC.

To get started, Download the OpenPC software »
- Upon installation, open OpenPC app » goto "Playstore on PC" » click "Configure_Download" button. This will auto-download and install PlayStore on your computer.

To use NextRide,
- Login to the PlayStore we just installed
- Search for "NextRide" » then Click "Install".
- NextRide - Singapore Journey Planner will now be available on your Windows start-menu.

- Provides a variety of routes that users may not have known existed

- Gets all the information upfront and quickly

- Superior to all other apps of this type that have been tried

☹ Cons:

- Only works within Singapore, which may not be relevant for some users

- Does not show the quickest route using a mix of buses and MRT, which could be a drawback for some users

- Lacks a visual map search function, which could be a useful feature for some users

A great start

This app uses either busses or MRT. If one or the other yields the quickest route, I'd like to be shown just that route. Otherwise, I'd like to know the quickest route using a mix of the two. That would get one more star from me. The fifth star would be earned by a visual map search function. I don't want to search my destination by address, I want to see a map with a crosshairs, guide the crosshairs over my destination, and tap "here" or similar.

The best app out there for finding one's way using the MRT. Great (clean) interface very well designed. Ignore the generic mass transit apps aimed at tourists; and ignore those clueless reviewers who complain that the app doesn't work outside Singapore---it doesn't, but that's scarcely relevant.
