The old app is better DO NOT GET RID OF IT.

The reaction times from this app vs the old one are ridiculous, I press the buttons make BB-8 say yes and no, I hear the sound, but he doesn’t move his head until less than a second passes by, he should move it as soon as I press the button and say his phrase at the same time. I also prefer the look and interface of the original app, it was brighter, more inviting, it had more of a hardware feel, and I liked BB-8’s hologram for turning his head. I like being able to drive him with my left thumb and turn his head with my right. I don’t want to have the driving mode only available with the phrases, I want it to be with the head turning mode as well. I also prefer the driving sound effects on the old app, even if they’re not quite as accurate. The only thing this app does better, is slowing down the head turning, the old app moved it too fast and it could mess up the motor. Please change this app to be more similar to the original, because eventually I’m not gonna be able to download the old app onto newer devices. Why am I even saying this? I know you’re not going to change it.

I agree that there are some features in the BB-8 dedicated app that are not in this app. One is the two finger control option and the other would be the hologram. I have purchased one of the BB-8 droids and just recently two of the R2-D2's and was really looking forward to at least the Princess hologram reaching out for help. Additionally, in a few descriptions of R2-D2, it was said that there would be an A.R. tour of Ben Kenobi's home but I can't find it. Thanks from Boulder, Co.

Love these bots as they fulfill a boyhood fantasy. The look, sounds and build are awesome. Like the app but I feel it’s a step down from the dedicated BB-8 app. Liked how that app gave some feedback on where BB-8 patrolled and his status. This seems trimmed down. Some suggestions to the developers: give us the ability to send holograms to other people with droids, ability to run droids in the background without app runnning, slow down droids(R2 falls constantly on carpet when switching to bipod mode), interactive mode when plugged in(make sounds and head movements). More control over R2/BB-8 like ability to make custom sounds and movements.
Why is BB-8 outdated...it can’t do a lot of things.

Sphero...I have always seen your products...and they always looked cool. So I had finally decided to get one of your products. I got BB-8 and got the OLD app without knowing it. The old app was full of features. But I found out I needed the NEW app. The new app was actually disappointing. They already took out one of the best features, Voice Commands. But if you have BB-8 with the new app, you may notice it is almost like outdated. BB-8 can’t do human interactions, and can’t start droid interactions. All of these are features that make BB-8 feel outdated. Just please, put these features back in and I’ll be happy.
