Now works as it should

Update: as stated in the developer's response, the latest update corrected the custom wallpaper and time zone issues, so the app now works as it should. Well that was a waste of money. I bought the ad-free version and that was a mistake. Supposedly you can select your own photo for the wallpaper, which it let me do, but close the app and open again and the custom photo disappears. It also looks like you can select the event time zone, since it shows in blue that it's using the default time, but there's no way to change it. Very disappointing.
The basics with room to grow

It’s your basic count up/down timer. It has a nice feature (paid version) that allows you to add custom photos to your events. However if I may offer some recommendations to the creators of the program that would greatly improve it in my personal opinion: 1: Allow an option for recurring events. It’s nice to know how long ago a birthday or anniversary or other special occasion was, but even better to know when it is coming around again each year. 2: Instead of, or in addition to, having a favorite that pops up, have an option that automatically changes the event that is displayed when you open the app to the most recent upcoming event. This would give a rolling screen as time progresses so that when you view the app you can see what major events are coming up and be able to use the the app timer to help plan or anticipate those events even better. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or if the ideas I am describing don’t make any sense and I would be happy to better describe them for you! Thanks for putting out a product that I can use!
Okay app. Could be way better

Basic app function is to the app to events. If you're pathetic like me, you'd rather focus on the future than today. So without complaint, the app works as advertised. You set up an event, customize the background and the app will show you how many months, days, mins etc. until the event. (Not even I need to count down mins to an event btw.). But here's the thing. That's it. Want to scroll between events. Nope. Want to quickly see what happens if you change the event date and compare to the old. Nope. Want to have a video or gif for a background. Uh uh. The one that really irks me is not being able to scroll between events. I should be able to swipe left or right and see the next event I'm tracking.

So, I really like this app. I've tried numerous others and they sort of paled in comparison. I like that this one is displayed in the widget section of the iPhone, and how customizable the events are. My only complaint is that it won't allow for skipping certain days, e.g., the weekends or weekdays or some random mix of the two. Other than that, it's fantastic and I highly recommend it to anybody in need of a the app app!!
