  • Great, except for 1 thing

    By sldickson11 (Pcmac user)

This app is wonderful and I use it a lot, except 1 thing could make it even better. There needs to be a "home" button where all of your different lists are stored. If you want to make multiple lists for multiple stores, the only way to get back to your other lists is to create a new duplicate of the list you're on. For example, I have 3 running lists: one for the grocery store, one for a department store, and one for an office supply store. When I think of something I need, I go to that respective list and add it, but then I can't get back to the others. The only way back is the +new list/duplication button at the bottom which completely duplicates the list I already have/had and makes it confusing. I think this should be a simple fix. Otherwise, I love the app!!

    1. Cumbersome not to open app and find a list of stores. 2. No overview or instructions on how app works = time wasted on trial-and-error. People's minds do not all work the same way; what is obvious to some will escape others. 3. Once an item was added to a list, I could not edit it. To correct a misspelling, I had to delete the list, start a new list, and retype all the items. After struggling with this app for an hour or more, I went back to the app store and found Store Shopping. 1. It opens with a list of stores. Adding and deleting stores is easy. 2. Easier to use. 3. Categories and items could be easily edited, added, and deleted from master lists. 4. BIG ADVANTAGE: I can assign an item (eg, eggs) to multiple stores. Eggs is than on the list for each store, but when I buy eggs at Kroger, it deletes eggs from the lists for Whole Foods and Costco. Genius!
  • Great proof of concept!!!

    By dancrask (Pcmac user)

My wife and I manage our home's food and consumables with four kids by using a shared list app. Thing is, the app we use wasn't created for groceries, so when I saw this, I snagged it with high hopes. It delivers on its promise. It does what it says it will do. It is intuitively designed. It is easy to use. It is, however, a great proof of concept for my needs, and not quite a fully functioning app due to one missing key feature: sharing. Shared lists are now an assumed UX for this category if app, so I was surprise to learned it was missing from launch. I'll keep this app on my devices in hopes that sharing is in an update or IAP soon. I'd gladly pay $2-$5 for that feature if (a) it was reliable and built well and (b) the monetization helps keep the app maker from being acquired a year or two from now. Good luck!

I'm new to this app, but I think it would be a good idea to make a list of options pop up when you add a new item to your list. Like a "recently typed into this box" option. It would make it faster and a lot more efficient because of certain lingo we use to describe food on our shopping lists.
