  • A Life Changing Device

By Linda in Fort Worth (Pcmac user)

I am a 62 year old female who has lived with kyphosis (hunched shoulders) my whole life. I would try to stand up straight whenever someone, or myself would tell me to. Unfortunately that thought would not last very long and I would be slouching again. If given the choice of being the perfect weight (I’m chubby) or having good posture, I would choose good posture. I know without intervention my posture will continue to decline as I age. Yes, the the app-Go came to my rescue. Through behavioral modification and strengthening of less-used muscles, my posture is changing...my subconscious behavior is acting as a reminder when the device is not on my back. In my monthly visit to my chiropractor visit four days ago, he observed a change in my spine! He says my shoulders are more even with each other and my spine is straightening. He plans to X-ray me next month to confirm and observe what he felt in the examination. He has been monitoring my progress and may soon be recommending the the app Go-Pro to his other patients based on my success. Also, customer support was there for me, checking on me, offering tips, the whole journey. Another bonus, I’m getting used to feeling like I’m taller because when I look down at the ground, it’s farther away, like when I wear high heel shoes. Looking taller, thus slimmer, is the Holy Grail of most women... sign me up! I love you guys forever. I never knew this could happen to me. Signed, Linda
  • Want to work on your posture?

By Pro Patient #70 (Pcmac user)

After a bad car accident I spent five years in and out of bed and wheelchairs until I finally lost my leg. With my leg I also lost my very good posture I had due to a lifetime of reminders from my Dad. As a kid I hated them but as an adult I was very grateful because good posture means a stronger core. A stronger core means a flatter stomach and a taller appearance. Anyway, my husband finally pointed out the hump that was beginning to appear on my upper back and I was horrified picturing all those old people walking around hunched over. Finally on day I saw an ad in the back of a magazine for this cool little gadget but I thought it was a bit too expensive. I tried to just try to pay more attention myself but I realized I was too busy to remember to stand up straight so I gave in and ordered it. It’s great! It can be annoying at first but it definitely works. I wish I bought it a long time ago and I strongly recommend it to all you slouchers out there!
  • Works Great!

Once the the app Go is calibrated to set my posture (which is better when someone else confirms that I’m standing straight) I can track my posture throughout the day on my Mac, my phone, and my watch. The training sessions are short, but you can choose to continue to train and when to switch to tracking. The vibration serves as a good reminder to stand straight. In a very quiet room I will switch to tracking because I don’t want others to hear the vibration. Continuing to track my posture throughout the day helps so when I can see the reminder, I can correct and I can look at the stats to see when my posture is hunched to watch for trends. The only down side I can see is in the summer, with lighter clothing, I won’t want people to see the the app Go unit. I am very confident the the app Go will aid in correcting bad posture habits. It’s going to take time, but it didn’t get this bad overnight, so it won’t be fixed overnight!
  • A great way to correct your posture

    By Mastamule (Pcmac user)

Ever since I had eye surgery following my head trauma when I was young, I’ve slouched. I’d gone through a few sessions of back therapy with moderate success, but I’d revert back to my poor posture habits. Enter the app GO. Rather than requiring an uncomfortable and finicky device to force you into the correct posture, this device gives a gentle buzz on your spine which reminds you to sit/stand up straight. I work a physical job in the field as an archaeologist so only wear the device at home when I’m working on my computer, but have taken it out when I go shopping to remind me to stand up straight. In any case, I’ve had a noticeable difference in the way I stand. Thanks to the constant reminders in training mode, I consciously try to maintain a good posture on my own. The tracking mode shows progress if you want to wear it through the day. Sure, if you’re doing dishes or something that requires frequent bending, the results will reflect the “poor posture” you assume to do the job. Fortunately, the the app team is aware of this and is constantly updating their device and platform to allow more freedom to the user. So, if you’re looking for a way to strengthen your back and core muscles, want to correct your posture, and have been struggling to find the right device, give this a shot. It’s a worthwhile investment for the results.
