Install Amaroq for Mastodon app on your Windows in 4 steps below:
- Download an Android emulator for PC:
Get either Bluestacks or the Nox App >> . We recommend Bluestacks because you can easily find solutions online if you run into problems while using it. Download Bluestacks PC software Here >> .
- Install the emulator:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.
- Using Amaroq on PC [Windows 10/ 11]:
- Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "Amaroq"
- The search will reveal the Amaroq for Mastodon app icon. Open, then click "Install".
- Once Amaroq is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including Amaroq.
- Now enjoy Amaroq on PC.

- To get started, Download the OpenPC software »
- Upon installation, open OpenPC app » goto "Playstore on PC" » click "Configure_Download" button. This will auto-download and install PlayStore on your computer.
- To use Amaroq,
- Login to the PlayStore we just installed
- Search for "Amaroq" » then Click "Install".
- Amaroq for Mastodon will now be available on your Windows start-menu.

Just two issues

It seems like a good app. It hasn’t crashed on me. I really wish I could use it, but I primarily use Mastodon for NSFW content, and this app doesn’t offer the feature to permanently remove nsfw screens on images and videos, so I find myself clicking past protections for every single post on my feed. Secondly, there’s no feature to permanently save images to your library if you so choose.

A pretty good Mastodon app

I’ve spent a couple weeks using it and I think it’s pretty good. The dark theme is nice, the profile design is nice, how the tabs/screens are laid out, all cool features. However, one thing I’ve noticed is how there’s no boost/favourite count next to the buttons. Also, I’ve only had one notification from this app pop up in my notification centre. If you fix these, this will earn 5 stars imo. Thank you!

More Bad Than Good.

I like the layout of the app (dark colors), but it’s constantly crashing. I’ve had this problem ever since I got on Masto, over 5 months ago. As of today, it stopped loading ANY media. I can’t post pics & general postings lag. I get paranoid, thinking that Mastodon has gone down! No, it’s just this stupid app.
I’m using Tootdon, from now on. Ppl complain that they store data or something, but at least the app is reliable & there’s also a general list of Instances to access. I can’t find new Instances in this app.
FIX THIS APP. MASTODON DESERVES SMOOTH, SECURE APPLICATIONS.

I’m surprised to find out this is being handled by just one person. Amazing work, honestly.
Just one suggestion - having the ability to view profile meta data somehow. A lot of people put additional links/pronouns/other info that would be helpful in their profile metadata.
