What is GLICODE? GLICODE TM is an educational app that teaches children about the principles of coding using Pocky, a popular snack in Japan. By arranging Pocky in different sequences, users can learn three basic coding fundamentals: sequences, loops, and 'if' statements. The app features Glico's mascot HUG HUG, who navigates through an imaginary world to spread happiness. The app is free and was adopted by the "Popularization of Programming education for young segment" program supported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications in Japan in 2016.
