Love the app, 3 dollars a month is too much

Let me say first that I love the app for all the news. 3 dollars a month is by far the most expensive month to Month app on my phone. I can't support the reoccurring payment. I would much rather pay 10/year. Which would still be high.
Pop-up Ads? No thanks

I don't really care for the new format they're using on both the site and the app, but the app uses pop up ads and that I can't live with. I don't mind imbedded ads occasionally and I wouldn't mind paying a few bucks to never have ads again, but I refuse to be sold to while I'm getting my news. If this remains the this app standard, I will be getting my news elsewhere.
Ads are ridiculous

I understand the need for ads to pay the bills, but no other app I use has ads pop up and play volume on. At the very least, please have all ads default to being on mute. Pretty simple ask that I’m sure everyone would agree with. Until then, I’ll go back to using the regular internet site.
Disaster

I'll give it one star, although I'd should be zero, just because it's this app. This was without a doubt the greatest website ever created until the disaster of an app and mobile site took over. Ad crazy, monthly fee, and completely unresponsive at times. Why fix it if it isn't broken? Oh yeah so I can charge u for it ... Guarantee that this app will see a reduction in traffic.
