  • Modern App

    By Red McCallen (Pcmac user)

I am not sure what the reviewers below are complaining about that Edline was better. Edline was clunky and had less information. But more so, the this app app function much like modern informations apps do. There are numerous options beyond Edline as well. The options are clear and to the point, often providing compliment information under titles, including teacher names, class grades, or other scores. It may seem like a lot to keep clicking to go deeper into a subject, but there is a wealth of information under each options. Links are also present under several options that can take you to other sections. From my experience, the complainers are parents who do not move forward with technology and get irritated that something changed, and they want to keep things as they have always been because progress only means what is comfortable with them. Change things up and get them having to think and this translates into a bad something and nothing but negatives. Anyone who keeps up with technology should not find this app difficult to use and informative, even if it can be repetitive for the sake of convenience.
  • The result of budget cuts

By great and honest reviews (Pcmac user)

In terms of simplicity, Edline was so much better. As a middle school student, when I was first introduced to edline, it instantaneously fell into place. I used the third party Edline Helper app as my primary grade checker on my phone and iPad. Now, this app, isn't so easy to get used to. First off, when I want to check my grades, am instantly reminded of my gross yearbook picture I took that looked horrible. As a typical female, aesthetics are very important to me. But my Vaseline face is just so darn distracting. But the app in general is okay, but edline helper was straight to the point. But on so many other aspects, this app was much better than Edline's. first off, I love how in one app, I can get access to a wide variety of things, from the weekly school newsletter, to the lunch schedule. Also, I can access google classroom, which is always great for those select classes that the teacher loves the Google ecosystem. For others, it may seem distracting, but I am quite fond of it. Moving a little away from the app, I have to say, the URL for this app for grade checking is kind of hard to memorize. I now have to keep it as a bookmark. For edline, the URL was pretty easy to type.
  • Lowkey better than Edline

    By peachysky (Pcmac user)

I actually believe that this a better app than the one for Edline. Of course we don't get Edline nor Edline helper anymore but just because we don't doesn't mean that there isn't a future possibility that there could be an option for that on this same app. Keep up the good work. Anyways, there are ways to find out your potential grades just gotta do the work on paper than having a computer do it for you, so it isn't IMPOSSIBLE to find out. One just gotta do more work in order to. Also, this app helps one stay WAY more connected to their schools. & let's admit it, it is way better than Edline. Not everyone nor parents could speak English & that's okay but it's very tough when you don't because you can not connect with the schools or county. With this app, the languages will help many way more.
  • WOULD RATE IT 0 STARS IF I COULD

    By Eli Carpenter (Pcmac user)

This app has so many problems that I’ve stopped counting them but in this review, I will list a few of them. First, the app is not optimized for all devices and is rarely updated! There are so many bugs with the app AND NONE OF THEM EVER GET FIXED! Second, Sometimes you can’t even log in at all! This is not a user error such as mistyping my password or invalid login credentials because the same credentials work just fine in the website! This would happen on all devices and all iOS versions (all supported iOS versions at least which is 9.0 and newer) Finally, the user interface is TERRIBLE! Especially on the iPad! Probably violates most of Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines and the interface looks like it was from 2012! If you were to look at it on an iPhone X or a newer iPhone, there will be black bars at the top and bottom of the screen! That means that this app is not optimized for these newer devices! There are controls in areas where there should not be which makes the app very frustrating to use and I have deleted it and I WILL NEVER USE IT AGAIN UNTIL MCPS FIXES IT! As an MCPS student, I am not surprised that this app has so many problems but I was NEVER expecting this many problems and almost no updates to the app!
