Download and install the Twist: Organized Messaging app on your Windows 10,8,7 or Mac in 4 simple steps below:
- Download an Android emulator for PC and Mac:
Get either Bluestacks or the Nox App >> . We recommend Bluestacks because you can easily find solutions online if you run into problems while using it. Download Bluestacks Pc or Mac software Here >> .
- Install the emulator on your PC or Mac:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.
- Using Twist on PC [Windows 7/ 8/8.1/ 10/ 11]:
- Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "Twist"
- The search will reveal the Twist: Organized Messaging app icon. Open, then click "Install".
- Once Twist is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including Twist.
- Now enjoy Twist on PC.

To get Twist on Windows 11, check if there's a native Twist Windows app here » ». If none, follow the steps below:
- Download the Amazon-Appstore » (U.S only)
- Click on "Get" to begin installation. It also automatically installs Windows Subsystem for Android.
- After installation, Goto Windows Start Menu or Apps list » Open the Amazon Appstore » Login (with Amazon account)
- For non-U.S users, Download the OpenPC software »
- Upon installation, open OpenPC app » goto Playstore on PC » click Configure_Download. This will auto-download Google Play Store on your Windows 11.
- Installing Twist:
- Login to your computer's PlayStore or Amazon AppStore.
- Search for "Twist" » Click "Install" to install Twist: Organized Messaging
- Twist: Organized Messaging will now be available on your windows start-menu.

I love this app & concept

I’ve used slack for several years, and been bothered by all the notifications and lack of focus on threaded (on topic) communication. I absolutely love the concept and implementation of this app! It is my go-to for teams now, and completely replaces the need for email in my book.
It feels in some ways like it is still in its infancy in supporting some features. Here’s an example: I love how I can share links to specific threads, but I don’t like how it takes users out of the app to the browser, rather than just redirecting them into that specific thread within the app.
That said, I will push teams that I’m involved in to move to this app, and any new teams I am involved in will use this if I can help it. I’m a student and growing app developer myself, and see a lot of value in organized, asynchronous communication. Thanks for taking the time to really think through fundamentals of communication and productive work before developing just another communication tool. This is not just another one, this is the only one I want to use.

For the first time since launch, there’s a share extension!

Thanks so much for figuring out how to implement it.
My only gripe is that it kind of goes against how this app should work, since it creates new threads for each shared thing instead of allowing you to share with more granularity, by posting into specific threads.
For example, I share about 30 links or so every day and organize them by topic. Have an infinitely long amount of threads would not be ideal as a result.

Great app but still needs some features

Honestly I love this app but some basic things aren’t available here that other message apps have like being able to respond from the lock screen. Hope this improves!
