  • Amazing debut!

    By kajitokenka (Pcmac user)

I admit, this is one of those gushing reviews from someone who's only spent about an hour with a new app, and I haven't even plunked down the cash for the full version (yet!). But even after a short time using this app to process live acoustic guitar mic'd with my iPad, I can tell this is a serious tool for creative expression with virtually limitless potential. It might seem intimidating at first glance, but it only took me a few minutes of fiddling around to figure out how to manipulate my streaming audio in all sorts of interesting ways. You can pitch incoming audio up or down in fixed intervals or in free increments, and there are all kinds of options for mixing the processed audio with the original source. It's one of those apps where you just play some sound into it and sit back to marvel at all the weird, beautiful tones it can generate. The free presets also demonstrate how it can be used to create all sorts of effects, including delay, chorus, and phase shift. It's great that this already works with Audiobus too. I patched it into AUM, then ran it through AUFX: Space and Effectrix for some incredible results. It would be useful if the app supported MIDI Sync or Ableton Link, and I kept wishing I could adjust the app's bpm without having to stop the incoming audio, but even after my brief first encounter I can testify, it works beautifully out of the gate.
  • Audiobus compatibility issue.

Interesting concept but it will not work with my Audiobus. App will not populate in audiobus menu. Will not consider buying the in-app upgrade without this functionality.
