11. The Malaysian Association of Qatar (MAQ), was formed on 14 April 2000 on the recommendation by YB Dato’ Paduka Abdul Kadir Sheikh Fadzir, the then Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture, who was on official visit to Qatar.
