10. Since 1998, the trend of Malaysian professional expatriates venturing into Qatar has increased significantly with the numbers has crossed more than one thousand people.
11. The Malaysian Association of Qatar (MAQ), was formed on 14 April 2000 on the recommendation by YB Dato’ Paduka Abdul Kadir Sheikh Fadzir, the then Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture, who was on official visit to Qatar.
