What is Todaii?

TODAI JAPANESE NEWS is a language learning app that helps users improve their Japanese reading comprehension, listening, and pronunciation skills. It offers a huge database of Japanese articles, vocabulary, kanji, examples, and grammar to help users master the language easily. The app is updated daily with the hottest topics from easy to advanced N5-N1 level. It also offers features like quick Japanese dictionary and translation, listening to podcasts and audio, watching videos in Japanese, words review, difficult news, JLPT mock test, offline mode, and dark mode. Download and install the Todaii: Easy Japanese app on your Windows 10,8,7 or Mac in 4 simple steps below:

Download an Android emulator for PC and Mac:

Very good, but...

This app is great, but the definition of an unknown word is pulled from Google Translate, I think. It’s not bad. However, there are better dictionaries, feature-wise, that I use for learning Japanese. When I use Easy Japanese app on my iPad Pro, the app does not allow me to pull up the dictionary app so that I use it side by side on ONE screen, instead of having to switch back and forth between screens, which is a bit annoying. I don’t know if it’s easy to change, but such update will be greatly appreciated. One final question before I finish I review: The “Print Article” button does not work on my phone or my iPad Pro. Anyone also experienced that? Thank you very much.

First I want to say thank you for building such a fantastic app! I use it every day in my studies to help with reading and listening. It’s great! One additional feature that I think would be a great help is if you could integrate Wanikani progress via their api to set which furigana are loaded. I believe someone has already made one for the website version on the computer, but if it could be integrated in the app it would be fantastic! Thanks again!

I don’t usually rate apps, but I had to give this 5 stars. I didn’t expect to find something that would work so perfectly for me, this is exactly what I was looking for when I was trying to find an app for reading Japanese articles. Not only does it have the ability to look up words really easily, it also has options to change the furigana depending on your level. Very good app 7/5.

This is an amazing app for learning Japanese, but has some bugs now on iOS 13 & 13.1 . Article push doesn't work and some trivial crashes remain. Hurry up, and let me enjoy the full features of this great app!
