  • Fantastic App

    By Jared Cooke (Pcmac user)

As someone who has a lot of minor tasks and a few major ones at all times, this app helps me immensely with prioritization. I found that since buying this app (it's worth upgrading to Pro to sync across multiple devices), my productivity has increased and I am not forgetting details that I used to overlook. I've tried other task managers, calendar features, etc, but the grid really helps me in a way the others haven't. I think the usability of it and interface are better than any other app I've come across. The only things I would change: 1. The app only allows tasks to be switched over to "Urgent" status at 7am. I am usually working by 5am, so it would be nice for this feature to be more customizable than just being moved over in a set number of days like it is now. 2. Tasks can be organized by date, currently, through a change in settings. This is great! I'd take it one step further and allow it to be organized by time. For example, I have tasks that need to be done in the morning at 5am, some that have to be done at 7am, and some (such as meetings to attend) that have to be done at 5pm. If this is the case, it would be convenient to be able to set times, or priorities in order to use this app efficiently as a checklist/daily schedule when necessary. Those desires for minor tweaks being stated, I'm very happy with this app and I have recommended it to multiple people who are also happy they've used it.
  • Nice but has some flaws

    By StevieMasen (Pcmac user)

I have severe ADHD; Ritalin poster child here. A priority matrix and a task timer is much more than a necessity for me; it's life-essential. I have the this app synced across my devices along with Be Focused Pro. I really like it but there are a couple things that annoy me. First, I can't control the duration of any task. I can set a due date/time, and a reminder of when the is due, but if I need to spend, say, 3 hours on a task, I have no way of setting that. I have to open my calendar, go to the task and change the duration there. I don't know yet how that will work with Be Focused as I just upgraded to Pro. There's also no drop-down for the due date/time, which means changing it manually each time. In short, the this app is great for setting tasks and priorities, but not for setting a schedule on my calendar according to the tasks I must complete at work each day.
  • Great but requires you to create account rather than use iCloud

    By StationStops (Pcmac user)

This is a good app for Eisenhower method, but I don't like that I need to create an account for sync - that's what iCloud is for. The custom sync is a bit clunky and yet another fringe security concern for my data. It would be better argued if there were Windows and Web versions. I also would like completed tasks to dissappear from the list but be archived for reporting. I don't want to see every task I completed this past week but I do want to be able to pull up a list of completeds for a weekly report.
  • Excellent for focusing on today’s must-do items

    By acadsci juggler (Pcmac user)

I like the matrix approach to to-do items, which I first encountered in Steven Covey’s “Seven Habits…” book. This simple app lets me organize my to-do’s in a way that I can easily select the 4 tasks that must be done today (similar to Zen Habits). I put the first step as the title, and the next steps in the notes, so that complex tasks can be accomplished step by step, without losing track. I set up the next step before I delete a step that I’ve checked off. I gave this 5 stars, even though it lacks one feature that I miss; I can’t keep a record of accomplished tasks, for review of progress or other reasons. I decided it’s helping me to just the app on today, for now, and not spend too much time ruminating over what I actually was able to accomplish on a previous day.
