Mellow App for Pc

I just got my the app a couple weeks ago. I’ve cooked a few steaks in it and some vegetables. Setup was so easy. Pairing with the iPhone app was flawless. The app makes it super simple for a newbie like me to get going immediately. Was very welcoming into the world of Sous vide cooking for the first time. The steaks that I have cooked in it, have came out perfect medium rare, as I had set. The vegetables came out exactly the way I wanted them, also. I love being able to set the machine to cook and be ready at a certain time, also. Overall I’m extremely impressed with this product. I only have a couple comments about other things that in no way change my view of the the app. The bags that were sent, I thought were supposed to be self sealing, but they seemed just like regular ziplock bags to me, but they work great and I have no problem with them, just a comment. Also, I’ve only tried once, but when I set a couple steaks to cook much later in the day, I placed them in the container and setup the app properly, but it took a couple hours for the temperature in the water to get to 39 degrees and was a little concerned about the steaks being safe to eat, since they had been left out for a while in over 40 degree temps. I never got sick, so I guess it’s ok, but I’m going to watch the cooling temperature closer to make sure it’s keeping cool enough for safe eating. Thanks for the great product!!!! The machine is great so far. However, there’s some features I’d love to see in the app though. I’d like to see more recipes in the app. The egg recipe is not the greatest. I’d prefer higher temp in the beginning to firm the white more. The current recipe always makes for a crazy runny white and firmer yolk. Egg cook shouldn’t require 1 hour 30 mins. That leads me into my next feature request. Ability to create custom cooks and save them for future. Like the advanced manual mode but ability to set when you want it ready.

I can’t say enough about the hardware... For a 1.0 version of a revolutionary product, it still amazes me that I can set the the app up, walk away, and without fail will have a perfectly cooked meal hours or days later. The app was flaky at first, improved a bit, but was slow and cumbersome for quite a while. I also didn’t like having to enter the same custom setup over and over for the same meals. The new recipe function has made that much easier to deal with. Looking forward to future updates, and what the new hardware will look like.

App works fairly well. I'd like to see the cooking temperatures when choosing from predefined options. Most importantly I need the advanced cook feature to allow delayed start. That'd make this killer. I could do things that aren't preprogrammed on my own time. For instance oatmeal that I want to have cooked for me in the morning. There's no setting for that, and I don't want to wake up 3 hours before breakfast to hit the button. If that's hard I'd love to have an api and I'd happily script that myself.
