Install Rune Keyboard: Norse Futhark app on your Windows in 4 steps below:
- Download an Android emulator for PC:
Get either Bluestacks or the Nox App >> . We recommend Bluestacks because you can easily find solutions online if you run into problems while using it. Download Bluestacks PC software Here >> .
- Install the emulator:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.
- Using Rune Keyboard on PC [Windows 10/ 11]:
- Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "Rune Keyboard"
- The search will reveal the Rune Keyboard: Norse Futhark app icon. Open, then click "Install".
- Once Rune Keyboard is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including Rune Keyboard.
- Now enjoy Rune Keyboard on PC.

✔ Pros:
- The app is fun to use and can be used with a friend.
- The app has easy-to-follow instructions.
☹ Cons:
- Some of the runes are not accurate and do not fit in The Web of The Wyrd.
- The app does not have all the runic alphabets, specifically the Younger Futhark.
- The app may not work properly and may close itself after opening.

Please add the Armanen runes

Apologies for contacting you this way but in the near future could you also add the Armanen runes as well. It would mean only adding two more runes to the Younger Futhark. Thank you!

I love the idea! But no one else can see it

Easy enough instructions, although the creator forgot to say you need to add "allow full access," otherwise you won't see anything. Once that's all done, there's only 24 runes, when Elder Futhark has 28 characters. It would be cool to see Long branch instead of elder, because that's what Vikings used.
My only frustration, which is why this gets only 3 stars... other people can NOT see the runes. In a message, all the recipient sees are boxes with x's in them...

App wont open... and younger futhark?

So I just purchased the app and the app itself will pop up for less then a second then close itself... also it's supposed to have three different runic alphabets and I only have two of them and neither are younger futhark, which is the one I got this app for... please help!

This app is great and works great. Get it with a friend and commit to writing like that. It's so fun.
But a few of the runes are just a little weird:
ᚠ ᚢ ᚦ need to have straight lines. All of the runes are supposed to fit in The Web of The Wyrd, which is a sacred symbol and should not be altered. It has three sets of three straight lines, no curves.
ᛃ ᚲ seriously need to be the same size as the rest of the letters. Why they are not is beyond me, but they make the words look so wrong.
