I have a group of stacks with over 200 flashcards. One problem is, if I want to edit an app then go back to reviewing, it starts over at the beginning instead of where I left off, leaving me to review the same cards over and over. The second problem is if I try to skip ahead manually using the icon in the bottom left corner, which also needs work (the cards should be labeled by stack, because they clearly aren’t shuffled anyway) the app freezes. So then I have to force quit it and start all over again. So recap: 1. Give option to return to where left off 2. Stability when using the poorly labeled “road map” deck 3. Label the “road map” of flashcards in the deck 4. Put a Contact Us in the main menu to report bugs. I’m deducting one star just for that. So annoying. 5. Just for kicks, when making flashcards, all the options should be made into widgets, so a user can customize their “workspace”. For example, I don’t need the text entry area that takes up half the app. I just need the picture taking option because I use pictures/am a visual person. I’m wasting a second every time I make a flashcard just to scroll down to edit the back of the card. I’ll have carpel tunnel by the end of this exam.

I loved this app until I hit about 500 cards. To be fair, about a third of my cards contain a picture. At this point, however, adding a card started taking 10-20 seconds, which didn’t fit my work flow. The switch to Anki wasn’t easy but was worth it. Anki, unlike the app, handles large decks without blinking. I’m now up to 20k cards, also many with pictures, and there is absolutely no delay in performance. I also like the ability Anki has to grade a card as hard/moderate/easy and it’s database-like features which automate making similar cards. Overall, the app served me well when I only had a bit to learn, but once I started to depend on it to hold more info, it let me down.

If this app worked consistently, it would be amazing. However, the tags and templates feature is maddeningly inconsistent. Spend hours tagging your vocab cards and categorizing them into stacks, then apply a template and everything gets changed. Hours of work down the drain. Then I trieed to export my library, so that I could restore it in case the app messed things up. When I go to impot the library, it didn't save any of my tags. I'm done with this app, not because it's a bad concept, but because I can't rely upon it for what I need it to do. Remove these bugs and make it stable and reliable, and it would get 10 stars from me.

This app is worth $30 for the following reasons, 1. iCloud sync, 2. iTunes style library (folders, smart playlists, tagging), 3. key commands Feature Requests: - after 5 consecutive correct guesses, the card is removed from the deck. Similar to a 5-star rating system. - change the flashcard “tag" form area from line to paragraph (multiple tags are cut off after 3-5 tags)
