What is SatFinder 3D Dish Pointer?
SatFinder 3D is an app designed to assist satellite dish installers in finding the direction of a satellite. The app provides a 3D model of the satellite dish pointed towards the desired satellite, making it easier to choose an installation place and set up. It also features a transponders database of all TV/RADIO satellites in the world, allowing users to easily find satellite parameters. The app uses the phone's magnetometer sensor to get the azimuth, and users can calibrate their device compass by shaking and moving it in a figure 8 fashion.
1. You no longer need to search for desired direction, just choose your satellite from a list, tap «AR» button and choose your offset or prime dish type.
2. You can point your device camera to your house wall and take a look at 3D dish model direction.
3. Since the satellite position calculation depends on the accuracy of your device sensors, your device should be calibrated by shaking and moving it in a figure 8 fashion when you are in AR mode.
4. SatFinder 3D is a tool for satellite dish alignment to help installers with finding a satellite direction.
5. Point your device to South direction and compare the directions with left or right buttons on the screen.
6. When your real south direction match to device 3D world direction just move your device as usual.
7. SatFinder 3D app will show you a 3D model of satellite dish pointed right to desired satellite.
8. Point your device towards the sky and watch all available satellites for your location.
9. Read your phone model instructions on how to calibrate your device compass.
10. If you still have problems with a device compass, tap «Manual compass On» button.
11. This program also is a transponders (frequencies) data base of all TV/RADIO satellites in the world.
