  • This App is for Employees, why isn’t there an app for customers to use?!?

    By Christmastg (Pcmac user)

Just like the title says why there is no app for customers to use?!? There is an app for employees and an app for builders but none for customers. It makes you realize how customers are valued by Duke Energy Progress, with the rates charged there should have been an app 5 years ago it’s crazy! Their website isn’t much better it’s very glitchy doesn’t let you update things 99% of the time, anytime I need to make a change or simple request I have to call in. It seems pretty sad a company this size who CLEARLY has the ability and technology to develop apps, has failed to do so. Again this shows how they feel about their customers. Even Spectrum Mobile has an app, a brand spanking new service offered for Spectrum but they rolled that app out right after they started offering mobile services. I am not joking when I say literally every single other company I have to make some kind of payment through has an app, it truly makes life so much more simple. I highly doubt anyone from the company actually reads these reviews but please make an app, there are TONS of people like myself who have been asking for an app for quite a while now.
  • If you are a customer—DONT DOWNLOAD.

    By shadeydiesel (Pcmac user)

Very misleading. I thought it was going to be a simple app to view my bill, my usage, or make payments on. Boy was I wrong. I took a survey thru duke energy’s website that asked questions on how I liked the app, and I was fully unaware they even had an app at the time I was taking the survey. So here I came after I completed my survey to download from the App Store, where I was very mislead to an app that I couldn’t benefit from one bit. I have only been a duke energy customer for 10 months now and my past electric company was a smaller rural electric company with an app I could benefit from a whole lot (which was surprising they were already high tech). Not understanding how a bigger company like duke energy couldn’t supply a nice app for customers, but a smaller company can. Keeping my hopes up for an app in the near future.
  • Umm?

Just like everyone else I'm going to Magine that I downloaded this in the hopes of having quicker access to my account and to have notifications directly on my phone when downloading it and trying to put my information from my account for Sonni and it would not let me so I'm going to gather this app is for employees why not make an app for the people who pay you like the customers?? If it all possible they should delete this app or make a portal for customers to pay their bills and have access directly to their phone I do however love the new text app that they have that allows them to text you when you are getting towards your monthly limit.
  • What’s the point?

    By KellyJ77 (Pcmac user)

I was very disappointed to find out that the Billing & Payment section is not a feature in the app. Prior to finding that out when I was attempting to login, I kept getting an error message when entering in my user ID & password, even though they were both correct (I had just logged in successfully on my desktop computer with no problems). I would love to use this app if it offered what I’m sure most everyone needs it for....to view their account/bill and to pay their bill! What exactly is the point of this app if you can’t do any of that?
