  • Don’t go to Walmart for printing!

    By razeltg (Pcmac user)

This app is great! Very easy to use since if you don’t have someone to take it, it has a 3-second timer. Enough time for you to adjust your position after pressing the click button. Very well-thought app. I initially ordered my prints at CVS and paid a dollar and something for 5 4x6 prints (10 2x2 pictures). When I took my husband’s picture, I ordered the prints from a kiosk at Walmart while grocery shopping. Upon finalizing my order at the kiosk, it was telling me that 4 copies would be $1. But Lo and behold, the clerk manning the photo section told me to pay $29++ when I picked it up! She said that since it is a great the app photo, Walmart is charging it per picture and not per print. Crazy argument! Asked them to explain why since they did not take the picture but only printed MY PICTURE but they were not using their common sense at all. Walmart ended up shredding my pictures since I refuse to pay almost $30! DON’T GO TO WALMART!
  • Good but...

    By samanthagutie (Pcmac user)

This app is great because you can download all sizes for free, but there is no flash settings!! Update: thank you for responding to my review. Ill keep it at 3 stars, 4 stars would’ve been if it had flash. I think it compares similarly to other apps. The pro of this app is that you can download all types of photos. The con is it’s still missing a lot of features. I don’t know why the flash feature had to be removed because ppl can just turn it off if it was causing shadows for them. I didn’t end up using the photo I got from this app, because of lighting issues (I was standing in front of a window with direct sunlight but the person photographing me was causing a shadow on my face that could have been improved using flash). They are similar because although I can get all photos in color here, I would still need to edit it to fix any lighting issues (in my case, my friend tried to photoshop for me). But I used a different app with flash photo, saved the 2x2 (the only one available for free), and placed it on a 4x6 myself. Flash helps create a more professional looking photo.
  • Save button doesn’t allow selecting a different format

    By jefrey1f149 (Pcmac user)

The app does take a good picture but when I click on the Save button to save the image to my phone, there is no way to select a format other than the default which is two photos side-by-side. The strange thing is that the Email button does allow other format selections. This seems like a bug to me. ——— Update I expected that email and save would share the same formatting features. Seems like a design flaw. But I agree with you that the overall app deserves a higher rating
  • Don’t go to Walgreens or anywhere else!

    By Joce_xo (Pcmac user)

I spent $15 at Walgreens to have my the app photo taken for me. The employee seemed really tired and fed up, so I was scared to ask to have my picture retaken. I looked awful and was really upset how it came out. the app photos are stuck with you for 10 years. Feeling really unhappy with the one that was taken for me at Walgreens (not to mention the ridiculous price), I downloaded this app and thought “there’s no harm in trying this out.” Due to poor lighting in my house, I took my own photo at school while standing in front of a plain white wall under the fluorescent lights in the hallway. Yes you read that right. I took the photo myself. It took a couple of tries to position my shoulders and extend my arm in a way to where it didn’t look obvious that I was taking a “selfie.” What’s great about this app is that the outline (where you keep your face in place) is completely accurate and the app saves two identical 2x2’s in a single frame just like the ones at Walgreens. I uploaded the photo onto the Walgreens app which costed less than a dollar to have them print it. I stapled that baby onto the the app application and prayed that they wouldn’t find a reason not to accept it. Luckily, they did!! This app works and I’m so glad it exists.
