  • Why wouldn’t anyone in California want to have this tool?

    By Cmonroe63 (Pcmac user)

I read many of these reviews and it’s amazing how many people don’t bother to investigate how it works. One person hit the “simulator” button and was surprised by the demonstration warning. This app will only warn you if the shaking at your location will hit a magnitude threshold where your safety is threatened. Several people said they didn’t get a notification during the Ridgecrest 7.1. The shaking at my home lasted 90 seconds and I did not get early warning because it was 125 miles away and didn’t cause damage.
  • Best earthquake app!

    By ScorpionLeather (Pcmac user)

I’ve tried all of the earthquake apps, and this is by far the best one. The others just have a list of recent quakes (typically amateur-developed apps that pull from a quake feed) — but this one is developed by earthquake scientists and creates its own sensor network! Each iPhone with this app senses movement and an algorithm on the server detects whether this fits the signature or a quake so that people can be notified before the waves travel to the users location. This also has a really cool seismometer so you can see the earth movement if you place the iPhone on a solid surface. Overall a well designed app that I think will become very popular soon.
  • Great app!

    By TomatoSnaps.com (Pcmac user)

Your app is great! The most important features is the ease of use, multiple settings and layout. Adding a volcanic tab in settings that’s similar to earthquake size and time view as a layover would be great to add
  • Great app Needs tweaking

    By Andicam29 (Pcmac user)

While it does not work as an early warning system, it does help show trends and activity around the globe. The filters work well, but it glitches easily. It is by far the best quake app I downloaded tho. With a little improvement, it will be excellent.
