  • Love it!

    By Rad Bliss (Pcmac user)

I love that this app is NOT subscription based (unless you want add one which I don’t even need). It allows for you to add photos, video you choose for each entry as well as automatically documents weather and location. I love having multiple journals for different topics. Seeing a feed with a photo for every day is also very motivating to write every day! It’s great to sync between my iPhone and iMac. Just be sure to save entries before exiting (you can change settings to not delete entries when leaving app, which is helpful). Love downloading my journal entries. For a suggestion- I would love to be able to print straight to a book publisher for a paper copy of my journal as well for longevity documention and storage. My journal writing has increased and improvised because of this great app! Thank you!
  • Not worth the money

    By TriedItAndItDoesntWork (Pcmac user)

I paid the money for this app thinking it was beyond basic, but it's not. Nearly everything it does can be done in Notes. You can't control basic things like which journal is the default, so if you happen to be using one a lot (like for a trip), you have to manually switch the journal every time you open the app, which is slow and not conducive to easily and quickly capturing a moment and adding it to your log. If you make a video log entry you can't save or share that video unless you set the app to save every picture and video you ever take, which can take up a lot of local memory on your device. The UX for reviewing a day is clunky and not well designed. The designers behind this app need to put a lot more thought into use cases and UX/UI, and until then this app should be free.
  • Someone finally gets it

    By Gnxgbertholl (Pcmac user)

I've been searching for a journaling app that could synch my phone and MacBook via wifi, WITHOUT USING THE CLOUD. Someone finally gets it that there are people who don't want their personal info in someone else's hands out in the cloud forever potentially at risk. In any event, after downloading and rebooting both devices, the apps appear to work very well as described. I've used this app on my new IMac, iPad and phone Xr, and I still works flawlessly. Three years and counting and it has never failed. My backup file is approaching 500MG and still no problems. Great app.
  • Insufficient photo size on Journal page

    By NickN-cb (Pcmac user)

I really want to like this app, as it gets many things right (sync between iOS devices, balance between photo resolution and storage size, gallery, etc.). However, the deal-breaker is the small and narrow photo display on the Journal page. I suspect that the photos used in the app screenshots were specifically formatted for this layout. The normal size of an iPhone photo doesn't fit well into this layout, resulting in areas at the top and bottom of the photo being cutoff. And, the layout is even worse in the iPad version, particularly if you close the side panel. This could be a 5-star app if it displayed photos better on the Journal page.
