Download an Android emulator for PC:

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "WorldCard"

To get started, Download the OpenPC software »
- Upon installation, open OpenPC app » goto "Playstore on PC" » click "Configure_Download" button. This will auto-download and install PlayStore on your computer.

✔ Pros:

- The Worldcard app for iPhone is useful and convenient for managing business cards.

- The scanner and software license purchased from Amazon worked well on OS 10.12.

☹ Cons:

- The desktop version of the app is frustrating and causes pain.

- The OCR/ICR algorithm is sub-optimized, requiring manual data entry for every scanned card.

- Upgrading to OS 10.13 caused issues with the app.

- The app requires a registration code to run, despite being advertised as free, which feels like bait and switch.

I have been using the this app app on my iPhone(s) for years and find it very useful and convenient. I downloaded this for my desktop and hate the bait and switch so I am not even trying it. The phone app works just fine.
Run, don’t walk, away from this app

This is more like a virus than an app in that it causes more pain and frustration than actually does anything productive. I bought the scanner & SW license from amazon and was originally able to scan business cards in OS 10.12. Even then their OCR/ICR algorithm is sub-optimized to say the least and I wound up doing data entry on EVERY card I scanned — making me wonder why I even scanned it in the first place. I then upgraded to OS 10.13 and everything went south from there. Their database was incompatible with the new db type in 10.13 and no amount of emailing support made any difference. I’ve upgraded to every current version for Mac OS (currently 4.0) and it still crashes EVERY TIME I try to feed a business card into the scanner, try to open any of the functions in the menu, etc. Support is non-existent in addition to being almost impossible to communicate with because of the language barrier. Someone PLEASE make software that uses the business card scanner. I can’t be the only one with this issue or the need for this application. Again, the need for this app exists, but THIS IS NOT THE APP YOU ARE LOOKING FOR.

Don’t call yourself free, if you require a registration code just to run the App. That’s bait and switch. Give the fee, and give the place to purchase it.
