  • Trying To Conceive

    By BrittanyfromOklahoma (Pcmac user)

I absolutely love this app for keeping track of my periods! And being able to talk to all the ladies! However I wish there was an option just for those of us who are trying to conceive, because a lot of the cyclescopes and other parts are mainly directed more so at the women who are on either on birth control or not trying to conceive. Just for example, if it’s fertile week it’ll mention about taking precaution since you could get pregnant. It would just be nice for us women who are trying month after month, to have a little bit of encouragement around that time! and also maybe some information on whats going on with our bodies if we did actually conceive, but the pregnancy didn’t take. My dr told me that happens more often than we realize and will think its just a heavy the app. Just like it does when it gives us all the helpful information on all of our moods and hormones and all of that during the cycle scope! That’s my only opinion to make it better. Other than that I cannot complain, I enjoy a community of women being able to just talk about all of our women issues and not have to be embarrassed or ashamed. I love Eve, I also have a couple other apps, but I can’t even use those ones like I can Eve, because they’re primarily for pregnancy. Which obviously after TTC for 5 years only keeps me looking and hoping. Anyways! Thanks Eve!
  • Looks good.

By KDE bla bla bla (Pcmac user)

I haven’t gotten my the app yet, however I’ve been looking at different apps. This seems like a very high quality app. The only thing I wanted to point out is that this app says its for 17+, however I’m sure many girls who have recently started their the app could use this. I understand that there are questions concerning sex, however I believe that girls who have gotten their the app have already had the talk about sex. It should not seem inappropriate or gross for a girl to see, and I doubt there would be an issue concerning it. There could be this explanation in the game description for caution. There’s also a large chance that girls using this app would be masturbating, which is completely okay! I’m very happy that this app includes that detail, and I don’t think young girls should be excluded because of it. Also, many girls under 17 have sex, so questions like those would be necessary for even girls under 17. I just thought I would point that out. Anyways, the app seems wonderful. I’m not sure if this is in the app, but I think reminders for using protection during sex and that infertile windows should not be used to determine when to have sex, as it is is still very possible to become pregnant even when not fertile, should be added(if not already included.)
  • Many types of pill

    By POPmaya (Pcmac user)

This looks like a good way to track your the app and has the potential for being very informative birth control wise but I find it very frustrating that many of these bc reminder apps group all the forms of the pill together. The combo pill and P.o.p are very different and I think you should be able to select them separately (maybe be able to select the specific bc method down to the brand name )? I think also more fluidity in being able to track changes in your bc method using this app. Like if you had the depo shot and switched to the POPill - what are some possible side effects or pills ? Can we get some accurate info about the possibilities when changing BC... just some thoughts they may seem like minor things but I think they would clear up lots of confusion and stress around managing BC! Update: The developer suggested using the community aspect of the app to ask questions and receive advice on bc... though in theory this seems like a good way for women looking for answers to get support and advice there is the potential for miss information to be spread. Why not have the facts and info built into the app into the first place? At least for such a critical thing as the nuances between different types of birth controls.
  • Morally... disgusted.

    By lalacarolan (Pcmac user)

This app just leaves me with an icky feeling. After interacting with it for six months, I’m weirded out by the target audience (clearly young girls) and the amount of sexual information being thrown at them - topics and techniques that I feel are inappropriate at that young of an age. I’m all for the empowerment of women and their bodies, but you connect with a wide and diverse community but you don’t know the ages of the other women and on many topics, these age groups would not normally be conversing. It’s just too much. Logging itself is comical and young girl oriented. Even though I turned off notifications and “unjoined” as many groups as possible, sexual deviations and questions are constantly being thrown in my face. And the daily ads of “join flow for free - huge discounted rate” mixed with the power to unlock more sexual tips and arrivals.... yuck yuck yuck. Are the 12 and 13 year olds using this app getting the same crap??? Are they reading the stories of one night stands, first lesbian experiences, and cheating on their best friend’s man? Why in the world are we exposing our kids to this stuff?? So I gave it a good try, but on moral grounds I am deleting all my info and moving in elsewhere. Don’t even get me started about security breeches and what they actually do with all the info you give them... just do a google search and find the it for yourself!
