Introduction:
Too Good To Go is a global social enterprise dedicated to tackling food waste in the restaurant, retail and catering industry. We've created an online and app-based platform that allows restaurants, cafes, supermarkets, bakeries etc. that produce surplus food to sell it at their end of service rather than throw it in the bin. Too Good To Go started in Denmark in November 2015 and has since expanded to: Norway, Germany, France, the UK, and Switzerland - with more to come. How does Too Good To Go work? Just download the app (available on iOS and Android), find a restaurant near you, order food at massively reduced prices and head to the restaurant to collect it about 30 minutes before closing time. It's super easy, good for the environment and helps your pocket, too. With an environmental mission at our core, Too Good To Go aims to raise awareness of the negative effects that sending food to landfill has on our planet. Research has shown that rotting food releases methane, a damaging greenhouse gas that can be up to 100 times more potent than carbon dioxide, whilst 28% of the earth's land is used to produce food that's never eaten. By diverting meals away from bins and into bellies through our app and web-based platforms, we're helping to combat this. Too Good To Go also stands on a number of social values. To us, it doesn't add up that one in nine people can go to bed hungry whilst one-third of the food produced worldwide doesn't even make it on to a plate. In Denmark, Norway, Germany, the UK, France and Switzerland, we work with organisations to ease food poverty, engaging in food redistribution and providing for those who need it most. We are always looking for talented and like-minded individuals so be sure to contact us and check out our open positions if you want to be part of Too Good To Go.
