1. The Start-Work Checks App is a mobile verification tool designed to help field workers confirm appropriate safeguards are in place and “Save Your Life Actions” are completed immediately prior to the start of high work activities.

2. The Save Your Life Actions are a set of rules to remind individuals doing high risk activities that these key items need to be in place in order to prevent a serious injury or fatality.

3. The Start-Work Checks help ensure those are in place before starting work.

4. Although it’s an app developed by Chevron,we know that we can’t succeed in preventing fatalities unless everyone succeeds.

5. The app supports overall efforts to eliminate serious injuries and prevent work site fatalities.

6. Therefore, we developed the Save Your Life Actions and the Start-Work Checks.

7. The heart of the Start-Work Checks app is to prevent fatalities.

8. We developed it because we saw within our own company a need for change when it came to fatalities.

9. Although the app was developed by Chevron, we know this app can be used by all of industry.

10. No data is transmitted to Chevron when using this app.

11. This app is not for Chevron employees.
