1. The tool is organised as a checklist, where students are able to learn about, gain confidence in and tick off each of the criteria needed to attain a standard of writing that will be accepted within University.
2. The Student Academic Literacy Tool (SALT) has been constructed to aid students in improving the standard of their academic writing at University.
3. SALT was one of the Summer Of Student Innovation winners, a Jisc programme developed with our strategic partners across higher education, further education and skills.
4. We recognise that within University, there are a number of students with a range of abilities and we hope to have covered as many of these abilities as possible.
