If you want to install and use the Fallout Shelter app on your PC or Mac, you will need to download and install a Desktop App emulator for your computer. We have worked diligently to help you understand how to use this app for your computer in 4 simple steps below:

Step 1: Download an Android emulator for PC and Mac

Ok. First things first. If you want to use the application on your computer, first visit the Mac store or Windows AppStore and search for either the Bluestacks app or the Nox App . Most of the tutorials on the web recommends the Bluestacks app and I might be tempted to recommend it too, because you are more likely to easily find solutions online if you have trouble using the Bluestacks application on your computer. You can download the Bluestacks Pc or Mac software here

Step 2: Install the emulator on your PC or Mac

Now that you have downloaded the emulator of your choice, go to the Downloads folder on your computer to locate the emulator or Bluestacks application.
Once you have found it, click it to install the application or exe on your PC or Mac computer.
Now click Next to accept the license agreement.
Follow the on screen directives in order to install the application properly.
If you do the above correctly, the Emulator app will be successfully installed.

Step 3: for PC - Windows 7/8 / 8.1 / 10

Now, open the Emulator application you have installed and look for its search bar. Once you found it, type Fallout Shelter in the search bar and press Search. Click on Fallout Shelter application icon. A window of Fallout Shelter on the Play Store or the app store will open and it will display the Store in your emulator application. Now, press the Install button and like on an iPhone or Android device, your application will start downloading. Now we are all done.
You will see an icon called "All Apps".
Click on it and it will take you to a page containing all your installed applications.
You should see the icon. Click on it and start using the application.

Step 4: for Mac OS

Hi. Mac user!
The steps to use this app for Mac are exactly like the ones for Windows OS above. All you need to do is install the Nox Application Emulator or Bluestack on your Macintosh. The links are provided in step one

Download on Andriod, Iphone
Free On iTunes
Download Android

Thank you for reading this tutorial. Have a nice day!

  • Halloween! And what I can look forward to

    By updates, please
(First of all I love this game and appreciate all the challenges it poses- it truly requires vault management and strategy to strive in this game, and just annoys me when people bash the game for over building and overpopulating only to complain about the over-inflated difficulty they themselves caused) HALLOWEEN, hopefully new things come from this, I’ve had this game for a while but I haven’t really picked it up since this month. I am heading for end game and I’m already feeling the end of things to do, my mission lists are becoming increasingly smaller and I hope this update comes with new missions like the previous years brought, but hopefully there are future updates to retain some freshness to the game. Don’t get me wrong, I’ll continue playing no matter what, but maybe new “off-holiday” missions, new wasteland events, and if we are lucky new weapons enemies or dwellers.. (but I most care about the first 2 things I mentioned) Hopefully bathesda can try to revive this game, but with the coming of 76 I can imagine this game only becoming more dead, or even possibly being bombarded with 76 weapons characters, enemies, events, clothes, missions... something I can look forward to if it ever happens. (Most likely after 76 has been out for a couple years) but non the less this game is great and anything that ever is pushed out into fallout shelter is a win in my book.
  • Not games fault but still too difficult

    By hectorm415767
With the upcoming of fallout 76 I decided to get this app I played for a few weeks and got good but after a while I got raided twice by these creatures with horns and killed 40 of my dwellers most of them worked in my power generator and since they were dead I couldn’t generate power so now I was running out of food and water I couldn’t revive them because it cost like 500 caps to revive each one and it wouldn’t make sense to move my remaining dwellers to my power generators bc then there would be no one working at my diners and water treatments. There’s also where it’s like impossible to have all my power, water, and food green bc I was in a four hour drive to an airport and played the game the whole way there trying to get my water and energy up and finally they were all green and my food was filled over the top. But the next day for SOME reason my food was low. So I built another diner and sent some of my dwellers there. Over time it was getting better until those creatures raided me and killed twenty of my dwellers. I tried reviving them but after a few days they just disappeared then the next day I went to check up but then some more creatures came and killed forty five of my dwellers that’s when I just quit the game in frustration. Overall this wasn’t the games fault but I uninstalled bc there was no hope and it was way to hard and I really don’t feel like making another vault and restarting. Feelsbadman
  • Pretty good but...(additions)

    By Hegsgdhudbehsiabscgs
I just want to start off by stating that I love this game and I hope that I can continue playing it for much longer but I do have one issue. When rushing rooms even with the incident probability at 27% and all 6 dwellers in the room having formal clothing on an incident will be caused on my game. The reason I bring that up is because when I'm low on resources due to a deathclaw attack or ghoul attack it's hard to recover over time so when I rush a room and a single radscorpion comes out but goes through my whole vault with every dweller armed with weapons that do between 8 and 17 damage and with almost every room other than my hospitals and science centers having 6 dwellers it is a bit annoying due to how much power the scorpion saps from the vault. It's especially annoying when in a mission it takes three dwellers only about three shots(attacks) each to bring one down doing between 12 and 17 damage it doesn't make sense how a room of six armed dwellers with a high level and high health to not only not be able to beat a single radscorpion but also almost everyone in that room nearly dying I think that's a bit overpowered. Highest level dweller is lvl. 33. (Additions) Future updates should allow for more than one vault/settlement per game so that the maximum for dwellers can grow.
  • Nice game. A few suggestions?

Great game, Bethesda. It would’ve been tough to make a traditional Fallout game on mobile, but this one is chock-full of cool Fallout references and is a really fun game. Major props. To anyone else reading this - it’s a little tough at first, but once you get over the hump (and pray you don’t get cleaned out by Deathclaws) it’s pretty easy. I also have a few criticisms. For one, I now have an abundance of Caps - over 100,000. Seeing as how I’ve built pretty much every available building, I have nothing to do with these. Maybe we could buy Lunchboxes and Mr. Handys with caps? Another thing is that Deathclaws are extremely powerful. Early on, I was doing fine at 19 people. I was trying to get another person so I could build the Radio Room when the alarm sounded for a Deathclaw attack. I readied my best dweller at the time, level 27 with power armor and a laser pistol. The Deathclaws went to the power room on the top floor, where I have all my best Dwellers. All of them had guns with base damage 10 or greater, and all of them were full health. The Deathclaws completely fricking annihilated them. By the time they were dead, I had lost 7 Dwellers and any hope of rebuilding. You need to balance this, Bethesda. Once this is changed, then the game will be five stars.

  • More about the company than the game

    By TuucAnSaam
I played the game for a few minutes and found it far less compelling than Westworld, whose developers were sued by “bitchthesda”. I also didn’t see any similarities between the games that would trigger a frivolous lawsuit. I was drawn to Westworld because I had seen both seasons of the series. I knew nothing about this game until beHavior was sued and we were notified in game that it would expire in April. I will delete this game with no further interest.
  • Fallout is the best

  • Application Icon is blurry

    By netlom
Please update the application so that the application icon is not so blurry on iPad 12.9. Also, multitouch support would be nice so I can drag a character around with one finger while panning with another.
  • Hate it

I’ve only had a this game one day and so far I have no complaints. I have a suggestion, it’s so you can move rooms for a price of caps. I hope people download this game it’ll make your life better. :)

I love this game. I have played this game on and off for a few years but I would love to be able to spectate what is being explored in the wasteland like the same way that you do in missions. Other than that great game. Keep up the good work
