Install Redacted app on your Windows in 4 steps below:

Download an Android emulator for PC:
Get either Bluestacks or the Nox App >> . We recommend Bluestacks because you can easily find solutions online if you run into problems while using it. Download Bluestacks PC software Here >> .

Install the emulator:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.

Using Redacted on PC [Windows 10/ 11]:

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "Redacted"
The search will reveal the Redacted app icon. Open, then click "Install".
Once Redacted is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including Redacted.
Now enjoy Redacted on PC.

Crashes at startup.

No longer usable. v1.2.1 worked but not 1.2.2. Very disappointed. I’m an El Capitan user.
Simple and it Works!

I bought the app because I wanted to support the author. But also because I had been looking for something like this that was quick, dirty and simple. I love it. The app does what it says it does. Plain and simple. For now the app is fine, but it would be really cool if you could add a blur control to blur more or less, same with the black bar, and to some intent the pixels. It would also be cool if the author added in the future direct support for .pdf documents or .doc word documents. But in its current form its really good and really functional.

this app makes it simple for me to quickly redact sensitive information from images. Initially I wanted to support the developer, so I purchased the app; however, I soon found it even more useful than initially thought. In the future, the developer of this app should add support for PDF documents.

The app is simple and a good example of thoughtful UX. It’s fast and though you can do the same thing with other apps that are more capable, I just love the fact that the purpose of the app is to redact stuff out. So it has one job, and it does it professionally.
