  • Pretty Good

    By Me12106 (Pcmac user)

So far i am enjoying the app. I like that it can connect to my meter and grab the numbers, so that i can see them on my phone. I do wish you would add more insulins to the list my Tresiba is not listed. It would be great if you could also add a food look up for adding carbs like a lot of other apps do. That would make monitoring my health easier. I know my insulin doses it would be great if we did not need the advisor to see the amount we need; It would just make life easier I wouldn’t have to leave the app to calculate. This would just life with diabetes easier. Of course people should not depend on this but as i have stated it would be easier and make for an awesome app. I know some app offer these this but if this app could offer all this in 1 that corresponds to my meter it would once again be awesome.
  • It just won’t pair

    By NoeLongoria (Pcmac user)

I bought a new ACCU-CHEK-Chek Aviva Connect after my old one died. And about the same time, I bought a new iPhone 7 Plus updated to iOS 11.2.6 As a point of reference, my iPhone 6 with iOS 10.2 worked flawlessly with my old Aviva Connect device. Not anymore. No matter what I do now, it wont pair. I restarted the phone three times. Removed the App and reinstalled four times. I then turned off Bluetooth three times. I even took off the phone case and have cycled thru the pairing process at least twenty (20) times. It’s as if the device’s Bluetooth feature is broken. I’m totally dumbfounded and frustrated. I am taking the Aviva device back and hopefully have better results with another unit. If that doesn’t work, then I will definitely blame the App. If it is in fact the device, I will update this rating. UPDATE: It appears the culprit was the Apple iOS. Since updating to 11.3, my Accu-Chek Aviva Connect works again. As does the Bluetooth connection in my Ford Sync radio. My apologies to the App Developer. I love my Accu-Chek Aviva again and the convenience of keeping accurate records.
  • Wow, all data just went “poof” with last update

    By Dude0u812 (Pcmac user)

Big Pharma mostly justifies their insane and inhuman pricing due to “research and development.” Well, it appears little of that R&D money ever made it to this application because as of the last update it removed all but the most recent entry. Oddly, the data still shows in the “diary” section. I was just prescribed and purchased their extremely expansive Bluetooth reader and ($1 apiece) strips that work with this app. But what is the point of collecting data if it’s so poorly protected? I might as well grab a blank piece of paper to show my doctor rather than this app, the information would essentially be the same. Fortunately I’ve also been concurrently logging data in another application, so I have the information even though it’s painful to transfer it over again. The FDA should go after Roche for such an unreliable piece of medical equipment.
  • My Accu-check meter + this app are a great combo

    By Raisan69 (Pcmac user)

Using this app on an iPhone 7+ and an iPad Pro 12.9” 3rd gen. I use it almost flawlessly with only the occasional need to manually sync the data hence the four ⭐️ rating. I wish more of the screens were available in landscape mode, but this is just a personal preference since I hold my iPad in this manner 99% of the time. Like: - the statistics - the trending - the ability to sync not only with my devices, but to be able to auto-send to my endocrinologist is amazing 😉 - able to share with anyone else interested or needing my info is appreciable - the data you can customize for each entry is great 👍 - love the bolus advisor - like the fact I can set an reminders 🚨 to get me to check my sugars (since I can’t rely on myself 😂) - and much more No offense to these one ⭐️ ratings, but I have not seen any: - not encountered any loss of functionality with any iOS updates - never lost data - never had to uninstall and reinstall app - battery life has always been decent - meter pairs just fine - text is not too small Overall a great app.
